Thread: a Swimming Bug?

Yesterday i was about to ID a customer but the toon in the window was swimming. I could sill do the changes, but he couldn't see them, the toon was too small in his window. And today i'm still swimming the ID window.
Is this a bug, and how can i get rid of it?

I've only encountered this when i make the person as short as possible. as soon as I made them taller, they stopped swimming.

Yes, it's been around forever. You weren't on Lok, were you?
It's also been reported to the devs, who are working to fix it. We will hopefully have a fix for it soon.

If you encounter this bug please report it using the /bug command, too. And make sure to include the waypoint of where it happened. It's definitly one of the stranger bugs we encounter in this game

It's a bug that has been around for a while. Like Techno said, please continue to bug report it and give as much detail as you can to help the devs squish this bug.

i actually did this the other day on lok.... and saw my ID swmming herself.... I then thought of the forums where i saw that, and just sat there laughing at myself......

I did /bug it though i didn't get the waypoint for it.

I've been living on Lok since July '03 and all kinds of odd things happen there. The swimming bug has been around since Publish 8 when they changed to the new ID interface. It used to be a radial menu thingy.

The last time I encountered this bug was on Talus inside the imperial base I think. Havn't checked there in a while though.

Yes, this bug is on Talus too.
But it only apears if the person you are IDing are pretty short.
Im as tall as it gets, so when I ID myself I dont see it, but when IDing a few of my guildies (who are very short) they swim in the window

Hmmm, that would explain why this has never happened to me, as I am quite short.

Have many a time. I encountere it daily anywhere inside the city limits of New Aldera' on Talus, on Kettemoor. Never get it anywhere else. And been getting it for at least 4 months now or longer. And Idon't think it's justme, but any ID that comes to our city. /pshrug And yes, I have /bugged it. many times.

I can confirm, as I was just in your lovely city for a party (Saturday, I think?). I also did a /bug report on it. ::grin:: At least we've confirmed they're trying to fix it. Mostly, it's annoying for the customer, rather than us.
