Thread: Question about Image Designer

I have no problem changing hair color or hair style on myself but I cannot do on others since it give me message about you have to be either close range or in group to do. That mean I have to be in a group to do it or not? What is the rule for doing image design on others?

You have to be grouped with someone to perform an image design on them.

Hey All,
I just resubscribed to SWG. It has been a while since I last played.
I logged in today and did /respec so I could re-do my skills. My favorite combo was Master Carbineer and Master Image Designer. My playstyle is half entertainer and half combat. I am really frustrated now because I have tried to re-do my skills and even though I have 90 something skillpoints left over, it is not allowing me to master carbineer and image designer.
Why? I noticed I ran out of "Elite" points about mid way into Carbineer.
So, I want to be a Master ID, BUT, Still have strong combat skills. Is there a viable template for my playstyle? Or do I have to either go all combat or all entertainer? Thanks.

I don't know which template you respeced from, but one reason why you might have run out of point could be, that all elite combat professions now require two lines in one or even two novice professions. Not sure if there were any changes for Carbineer there.

As I see it there was one of two problems:
1. You didn't have 2 elite masteries + the right number of novice lines to allow you to respec fully to Master Carbineer and Master ID.
2. You started respeccing some of your skills before you had unlearned everything in the tree. (That is, if you unlearned all of Master Rifleman and then picked up all of the Novice Scout profession, most (maybe all) of the elite points you got from Rifleman would be used up to gain those scouting skills, so you have essentially lost those elite points.) The absolute safest way to respec is to use the "unlearn all" option and then work up from there so you have less chance of losing your elite points.

My old template was some stupid Jedi grinding one,
Commando 4000
Master Teras Kasi
Medic 0340
Brawler 4040
Master Marksman
I suppose I can Respec to Master Carbs and 4103 Image Desinger, then just grind out the rest of Image Designer.

That's probably the wisest course. 
mastering ID is a pretty quick road these days. Scipionus did it in 2 hours, I've done it in 3. (From Novice Ent through Master ID) And there are reports of people mastering in as little as 90 minutes with the double xp. Good luck!

This is just hilarious honestly. I talked to someone last night on Tempest with the exact same problem and could not understand for the life of me, when i kept suggesting for this person to respec to master carbs first. ID IS SOOOOOOO EASY to master. Just grab a friend, ID the eyes over and over, get an inspiration buff from a entertainor, you WILL get 660 pts per ID. use the macros off the site here, it will take you max 2-3 hours at MOST to master ID. if you respec whatever you have left from carbs, it'll go that much quicker.
Come to speak of the devil, this template is THE EXACT SAME template this person had.
Are you this person?
I was the ID standing in coronet SP, you went LD, and I had to log my jedi on to help someone in kashyyk with a quest.
