Thread: With the GCW Revamp in place. Can we expect an alternative to salons anytime soon?

There are 5 salons not just 3 where stat migrations can be done:
Two on Naboo:
- Moenia (dedicated Rebel)
- Theed (up for grabs)
Two on Corellia:
- Coronet (up for grabs)
- Vreni Isle (dedicated Rebel)
One on Tatooine:
- Bestine (dedicated Imperial)
It is about time we got more though. I think that at the minimum,there should be a Salon in every NPC city that has a theater, if not in every NPC city on each of the main planets.

Better yet, as we have allready talked about, ID-terminals in player structures and the ability to register on the planetary map. That would take our customers out of harms' way from trigger happy city NPCs.

ID Terminals. Word. I want my Large Tatooine house thats decorated like a salon to be my palce of buisness. Then I can have a jukebox in the lobby area so customers can have something soothing to listen to while Im busy with customers. I can have appointments and all sorts of fun stuff. Yup ID Terminals FTW

I am not sure if anyone else has had an issue like this but it happened to me today so I figured I would bring it up. We have three salons in which stat migrations can be done: Moenia (perma rebel), Theed and Coronet. On my server all three of those cities are currently under Rebel control. As an Imperial, I now have noplace to goto perform stat migrations on fellow Imperials. There have been quite a few posts concerning our need for an alternative to salons but so far I have read nothing that indicates the devs plan to give us that alternative.I believe now is the time to push for it. Without an alternative, IDs are going to be forced to go neutral just to do their jobs. This kind of runs counter to the whole GCW revamp wherein the devs were trying to push the GCW and get more people involved with their factions.
Just my two cents on the subject. Let me know if you agree or disagree.

well....this wasent the GCW Revamp...this was the GCW Pre-Vamp

"Pre-Vamp".... very suitable wording 
The last publish was indeed not the planned GCW-revamp, more like a very needed GCW-Hotfix laying the groundwork for the true revamp. But to fully revamp the GCW the combat-system needs to be take care of and thus the Combat Upgrade comes first.

Hmmm. I was not aware there was a tent in Bestine but then I am seldom on Tatooine. Thanks for the info.

An awesome idea!
I love the jupebox idea as well.
Finding ID is very difficult so the sign thing for us is great also!!!

Yeah plus Tinkergirl is revamping my ID salon to be totally pimped out. I was gonna get Xzibit but he says he only does cars.
Would be huzzlephat Shiz to do ID in mah pad, ya dig? Twinkle twinkle baby.

Techno, just out of curiosity, can you explain how instantaneous cosmetic and body changes will affect the Combat Upgrade? lol

For now we should simply enjoy the changes (once they hit live of course)
