Maybe Master Smuggler in a week if you are filthy rich.... and you play for 8+ hours a day for 7 days straight.

What's the rush? 90% of those screaming about a lack of content are Masters of their chosen profession. Play the game, enjoy the time you spend in it, and let the title come to you. You'll be much more satisifed, and a LOT less bored.

It took me about two weeks to get to the top of the Marksman Profession. The best thing i did was to start getting into group hunting missions and going after the large game. Thats where the larger XP is. My problem now is getting apprentice points to reach master, it seems like noone needs training. but once you reach pistol carbine of Rifle specialist, you can become novice Pistoleer, Carbineer or Rifleman...

I've been playing for almost two months and I still don't have a Master status to my name. Three boxes away from Master Carbineer, but hey. I agree with take your time and enjoy the game. It'll be all the sweeter when I'm a Master Carbineer.. there's only three or four of us after all.

Any of the 6 basic professions can be mastered in a relatively short time. Elite/Hybrid can obviously take a lot longer, as they should. Of course this can all be shortened if you are a power gamer, have money and a willingness to grind, don't mind playing AFK (if applicable to your prof), etc...
Like someone else said, I don't see what the rush is though. If you don't enjoy the ride, and find yourself bored at the top, then why play at all? Seems like a waste to me.

The problem is you guys only play one character, I have multiple chacraters and noen are near to novicing an elite profession yet, I have different plans for all of them including one to be pure medic/CM/Doc, My "main" chacrater ( the one furthest along is Stoshi, Who need 2 more boxes and some ap before mastering artisan, I plan to also have her do some CH and pikeman. ( pikman and hunting and explor are done just need the extra exp to start novice ) But I dont; play just her, I have other character on other servers ( increase my chances of a Force slot

So true ka-oan.
Its much more satisfying to become master this way and you dont get bored after one month of playing :-)

before the addition of the conceal shot, and besides getting distracted with other things.. i would say several months. Been a master at it for about 2 months and got novice rifleman 7 days after the game launched.

Just wanted to add, that it should take you a lot faster with conceal shot and if you aren't going to be distracted with another profession (i was with doctor), it should take you quicker to master rifleman.. but its slow.. ill tell you that
