Thread: Comments from a frustrated customer
I had a session the other day where I kept trying to describe what I wanted, the same frills I had in Beta, and after 20 min of trial and error just gave up. I would much prefer if there was two modes.. one mode where it is as it is and you can "try it on" and another mode where you can pick out what you want from a selection of possibilities.
It would have saved me a lot of time and effort. I STILL dont have the frill/tip color combo I want. I bring this up to present to the image designer community the difficulty I experience as a customer..

Keep in mind the hairstylist you were using may not have had all the styles available. But, it is also very frustrating for the Image Designer, as we have to take (possibly misleading) descriptions of a style and find something that matches... and many times players don't realize that the image designer can't just make up whatever hairstyle is described (that would be nifty though!
)
My basic strategy is to open up the window and try to direct the description: "Do you want long or short hair? Spiky or clean cut? Poofy or close cut? How is this?"
This tends to get things narrowed down enough that the player's will like what you choose.
However, I really hopean active preview method is developed soon... will make thingseasier.

It would be awesome to eventually have a database of some sortlisting all the hair options available for the different races, and the skill level required for that style.

Yes Oofnish is going to be helping me take screenshots of all the hair next week. I also plan to come up with names for them all to label each picture so that customers can look up what they want on Warcry and then say whether theywant the "Skyscrapermohawk", "Wendy pigtails", "Cinnamon bun", or whatever ![]()
