I tested the exploit command (frills) this morning and it's been disabled. But... I don't know if there's another way to perform the exploit soooooo, may be still there in some form.

Anyone check if the command-line still works at all? Or if it's UI only now? I should have checked when I stopped at home during lunch, but I was too busy oohing and ahhing at my Gorath guild's new city hall to think about ID…d'oh!

From the poster on this thread about "ridges" it seems that the within-species commandline is working - however you have to know what the "range" of your species styles is because they are on a continuum and do not start at 1. I don't know the numbers for lekku styles or I would test it on myself. Any data on this would be appreciated.

I believe the ranges work as follows: sort species names alphabetically (Bothan - Zabrak) count each species styles using female first, then male (order as listed on Pani's site) and whatever you get to by the time you reach Lekku is the numbers you want to use. I'll try to write a quick equivalency based on Pani's naming scheme…

Can anyone confirm whether if fixed all the idiots running around who had non-racial features, or just prevented it from being done in the future?

it hasn't reverted anyone who has had this done to them, so far as i can tell. writing code for that sounds like it would be significantly harder than writing code that just says 'lekku command cannot be used on wookiee, zab, rodian, human, etc characters'

I don't want hair I'm not supposed to have, but I would like to re-earn the badge I rightly deserve! So. you're saying it still works as long as you pick a hairstyle that fit's your species?

I doubt it would be possible to revert to the last hairstyle a toon had—I can't see any reason why the game would track such a thing. It would, in theory, be possible to iterate through the database and change any invalid toon hairstyle numbers to the first valid number, but that would be some rather server-intensive maintenance, which I can't see SOE doing. Basically, be thankful that the bug has been fixed, but don't expect any retroactive changes to take effect.

I don't know how hard that fixing the command line would be. They wrote it into the visual right? The visual boxes won't allow cross species and cross gender hair styles, and that is all really just command lines too with the added ability to be a window instead of just text.

So it seems that (with the limited programming knowledge I have from my classes) hard coding the commands wouldn't be too hard. I mean, just locking the styles to who they belong to.

Then maybe a code that reverts anyone 'violating' the hard code to have their exploit returned to the very first style for their species and gender. That would be eaiser that trying to go back to the last style they had at anyrate.
