Image Designer Archive
Thread: New times, new faces
A few weeks ago, i told myself I was going to do some Image Design to make myself look like someone else. Or maybe I meant to makesomeone elselook like me. Or maybe...
I kept up with my recent promises for the image designer community. I re-wrote all of the old posts that I needed to, got things back on track, and straightened up the mess that I created several months ago. Several of you have thanked me in private messages, but the thanks truly goes out to all of you for supporting me for that second chance.
However, I think it's time for a new face to be in the correspondant position. For the past several weeks, I have been working on this very thing. I approached someone that I thought would be perfect for the position, but she wasn't ready for it. And I didn't want to put her in the middle of my mess, either.
We both agreed to wait, and stick it out a few more weeks. It seems that things have clearedup. The image designer community seems to be happier with the progress of this forum, and my chosen replacement also finished her work. Today she sent me a message stating she was ready. So was I.
I am in the process of sending Thunderheart a message about the change, and posting my goodbyes to the correspondant forum. It has been fun, and certainly challenging, but I think it would be better overall for a new face to be in this position. I would have to give it up sooner or later, as I have plans to go back to school and study sociology next year.
So ladies and gentlemen, please welcome your next correspondant, n'Jessi (NJ62). Please treat her well, and I guarantee she'll do the same for you. Upon leaving the correspondant position, it is very likely that I will be leaving this forum behind as well. So I wish you all luck with the image design profession, and many tips from your customers.

Well I would think the previous correspondant would have something to input no matter who makes the decision, but whatever.
Anyway.
Rilawyn, I'd like to be the first to thank you for the work you have done (especially recently), and to wish you well in your future endeavors. Good luck to you, and farewell. ![]()
n'Jessi, welcome to the position. I have no doubt that you will do a fine job during your time as our new correspondant. ![]()
Thank you for all your hard work and for all the time you have spent working as our correspondent. I for one am grateful and really hope you will always keep an interest in image design and the image design forum.
*hugs* and good luck in what ever you decide to do next!!
And a HO HO HO welcome to n'Jessi too!! I am glad you accepted the position and I am quite confident that our community will accept you with open arms. Your activity lately in building a faq and your willingness to work with others will hopefully help our profession achieve the features and changes we so desparately need.
So thanks to both of you for all you have done in the past and for what you will most certainly do in the future!!

Rilawyn, I'll admit, when I first started reading this forum I was somewhat skeptical, but in the past few weeks you've proved my fears unfounded. Thanks for all the hard work, and good luck in your future endeavours.
n'Jessi, welcome to the position of power—I can't say I envy you.I'm sure you'll do a fine job, and keep us demanding IDs happy. Since it seems there had to be a changing of the guard, I'm glad you were the nominated for the position.
P.S. Any questions, eh? So…what's the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?
African or European?
OMG!
Congrats, N'Jessi! You are going to rock this position SO hard. ![]()
First - I would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Rilawyn. Besides taking her position seriously, in spite of all the backbiters (myself included), she really showed us that she did finally take the ID correspondent position seriously. Rilawyn, we'll miss you.
And NJ - this ROCKS. HARD. You'll recall I told you you were rapidly becoming one of my favorite people on this forum. Now I'm pretty sure you ARE my favorite! LOL Congrats, chickie. BTW, my boyfriend loves your tagline - Master ID, Master Tailor, Wiggly Dancer. So do I, actually. ![]()
As the new McD's commercial says: change is good. Bittersweet, but good! Rilawyn, don't go too far away if you decide to switch professions. ![]()
I would like to thank my agent, and the academy, and god, and all the little people, including my husband, who made this possible...
Seriously, though, thank you all for your support. It means a lot to me that y'all think I'll do a good job ![]()
