Hehe.. after you get the next box, you can do eyes.. although it only gives you an extra 20 exp per minute.

It's a tough grind

I started on Image Design yesterday afternoon...and I cannot imagine how anyone can stay interested in it. I got my first box of Image design, and was hoping that it would increase the experience if I change the new things I was allowed to. Nope...still 100 experience, no matter how many things I change. Well, at 5000 experience to the next level...I cannot imagine how anyone can do ID under the new system. Please...someone tell me that the experience gets better. I can master fencer in about a month...but at this rate, the grind from ID is going to take three times that...let alone drive me slowly insane. I would appreciate any advice or help, because I really wanted to be a master ID, and I am now regretting not doing it before the change. If nothing else, make the experience based on the amount of items changed. Such as...if I change the eyebrow color for 100 experience, then each individual thing after that tack on another 50 experience...maybe even capped out at like 300 experience in the beginning. I hate being negative and I always try to offer solutions to my complaints. But this is really too much.

The devs are well aware we aren't happy with the current exp system. Whether it's the fact that your exp doesn't increase past Novice ID with skill gained, or the timers/exp amounts associated with each change. I have no word or hope of anything changing in the forseeable future.

In general I recommend you read the FAQ's and ID Guide linked to within the FAQ thread stickied at the top of this forum. They have tips on how to make your travels through ID more efficient and hopefully more enjoyable. Best of luck to you.

I think the exp is fine getting to novice.

I thnk the stat exp is too high I beleive it should be dropped to 1000

You want 1000 exp after 10 minutes of waiting? o.0

it's not that hard to master.. I did it in a week. I've seen Grinders polish off "entertainer ID" in a night. What's 33hours to go from novice to master ID of clicking stat migration?? it's nothing.... it's under 5 hours a night.I would rather see the EXP earned be representitave to the work you're doing.... you want to level markings? do markings. want face? do face changes.. having to grind "stats" isn't a true way to become a master of the profession.. you have no idea how to sculp and remodel an avatar if you never grind up the trees independantly... being rewarded for the type of change I thing would be far more rewarding than 200 stat migrations.

I like the marksman exp.. in order to level you need to use the particular type of weapon..

same can be for Entertainer / ID.. I was never overly happy about how EXP was pooled learnt... Ent is channeled in two.. it's ok... it's lacking but this isn't thier forum... you needed the healing and the actual dance exp. with ID.. all you do is 200 stats and call it a day. all four trees pull from the same pool of exp there is no descrimination for actual work done... this is where it's lacking and unrewarding... how can I migrate 50 stats and said I'm an expert hairstylist or 50 Stats and say I'm a plastic surgeon. or 50 stats and claim you're now a tatoo artist .. which really should be called Zabrack facialist....

naaw... Make the trees exp independant and award stat migrations to level 4 body tree. leave it at 10 mins until master and reduce it to 2.5 mins in tent and 5 mins. out of tent. adjust the exp to scale based on level of changes done on the particular tree,

Level0 xp -> 160 xp a change

level1 xp -> 333 a change

Level2 xp -> 500 a change

level 3 xp -> 1000 a change

Stat migration obtainable at level 4 bodyform

level "4" exp is banked incase you leave the profession and want to unlearn the SP's.

if anyone does the math on this it's still 33 hours to master but you have to work the skill paths to do it... as opposed to Stat migrations... which is boorring and time consuming.
