Hey All,
A friend of mine who I wrangled into joining SWG on day one has quit a few months ago but asked me to post this:
"Hello, this is Kuildeous, an ex-SWG player who eventually
got tired and canceled his account. While I no longer play
SWG, I periodically check in to see how the game is doing.
I still care about some of the professions that I've been a
part of.
I had an idea for ID. I don't know if this has been
mentioned before. I'm sure it has in some incarnation. So
I hope I'm not repeating something here (or forcing my
friend to repeat it by posting here).
I was thinking that Image Design would be a lot easier if
there were "templates." After making changes to someone,
if you think it should be changed back (or the client
does), you have to remember which styles were in place. If
you could just take a "snapshot" of someone, then you can
easily go back to the drawing board.
Also, such a template can allow you to apply a
"trademarked" look. If someone enjoys the facial features
of someone else, you could just call up the categories for
the eyebrows, eye shapes, eye color, cheek structure, etc.
You could offer someone the "Tasha Jalul look" which is in
your template collection.
And if that is appealing, then the more skilled you are,
the more templates you can carry. Say, one template per
box (which is really only about four templates per race).
Anyway, I had that thought, and I know that the IDers had
been overlooked in the past. I thought I'd throw that out
there in case it's not been mentioned. And if it has, then
I apologize humbly.
Kevin
PS, I currently am playing City of Heroes, which has a
different fun factor. But I really do miss the intricate
customization that SWG has. Maybe that's why ID was on my
mind; I longed for the pretty robust system SWG has in that
regard."
