Thread: Doing multiple players ID at the SAME time...

Wow so I get to be afk for 9 minutes doing stat migrations... and this is playing the game?!?

Big change needed here.. Allow MULTIPLE ID windows to be opened at the same time. What could be a fun class is made boring by the forced wait time. At least with multiple windows there would be something to do and players would not be forced to wait extended periods of time for an ID to finish a single Stat Mig.

Heck devs move the game terminals to the ID tent. to give us something to do!

The best way they can change this,in my opinion, is to make the stat migrations longer - say, an hour, like faction timers - but make it client-end only. That is to say, the dude comes to you for a migration, you click a box, click accept, and he's on his way in 30 seconds. An hour later, poof, migrated stats.

That would be great too, but the XP would still come in way too slow for the ID. Thats the main problem. The Devs need to realize that this is a game and should be fun and involving from the time I log in till the time I log off.

Wait time on IDs is no fun for the ID. And as for stopping people from grinding, there are free programs on the web that allow you to grind while AFK.

Guess I should sto complaining or they'll made Ranger, Politician, and Merchant worst...

If they took away the wait for ID's, the xp gain would be much, much faster, because you could go from client to client pretty much immediately. Hmm, they'd probably have to lower the xp, actually.

I'm working on mastering ID myself, but already a master musician. You can't be playing and start a session but you can after, flourish and everything. Helps pass the time and your customers enjoy the entertainment as well, meaning usually bigger tips...

Well if they would give ID's something to help pass time, that would be great ... but we cant dance while ID'ing, cant play while ID'ing ... so for 10minutes, we can talk to out client, which is great, when you have a client who isnt too bogged down with tells from their buddies/guildies to speak to you. Not to mention, if you are the only ID in the tent, you lose a lot of customers when the line gets longer than "your next in line". Maybe they could incorporate the actual ID computers somehow where there were 4-6 of the stands in each tent, and with those using the computers would have an automatic change. Also, can we please get Arch craftable tents for PC's????? ... PLEASE??? I am ID on Ahazi, which is cool, but i want to be ID on Tempest, which is where I play the most ... but for some reason, i dont like leaving the city where i live other than to go to mining to get buffs if i cant find a doc at home. I have everything I need for the most part in the city where i live ... but im going to have to go to coro and fight the lag monsters then travel 1/4 way around the city to get to the tent to sit and fight off other aspiring ID's for customers so i can lvl, then when i do lvl, im going to have to travel to the other side of the city to the theater so i can learn the new skill and travel back to the other side of the city to ... blah blah blah ... never ending until you are a master. Putting ID tents in player cities is the same concept as putting in PC cantinas ... so why dont we get PC tents again? Are dancers and musicians better than us? Well ... i can live off drink and foods in battle, but when i am tired of the way I look, i'd say that ID's are more important lol ... anyway, I personally like the tents in the main cities, but i think that having PC tents would be much easier. Citizens could have their "local hairstylist" like in real life. I know that I would be able to lvl faster if I were doing it at home, as i have several friends in the city where I live ... and they would come to our city's tent for an sm on the terminal with no wait if i were there ... and i wouldnt have to fight off the other aspiring ID's. Leave the main city tents to the noobie players who are trying it fresh out of the gates. anyway, just some ideas. thanks for listening lol

Actually you can dance and/or play while IDing. The trick is that you have to start the ID session BEFORE you start dancing/playing. I usually hit alt so the ID window disappers (no accidental cancels) and then type /startdance. Even when the ID window is open you can still hit the flourishes if you have them on your hotbar F keys.

This is probably unintended and will eventually be taken out, but right now it allows me to practice IDing myself while I chat and dance with friends in the tent or cantina. Every once and a while I un-alt, /stopdance, accept chages and restart a new session, then /startdance again. When I am just grinding on my own with no one to talk to I like to be in the Theed cantina so I can listen to the conversations (after ignoring the spammers). Okay, okay, so I'm an ease-dropper.

I'm really not minding the grind - but then again ID is something I am doing on the side, not trying to make my main profession. I have a Master ID that I leveled mostly before the timer was added so she tides me over until my post-timer character is leveled I guess. Then again, I dislike power-grinding so much that it took me two months of solid (but casual) play to master Scout. And then I mastered Ranger before making camps gave you wilderness xp. So the ID grind, even with the timer, just doesn't seem that bad! I'm having fun.

One problem with your thought here. Dancers and Musicians can't place cantinas until they make master, IDs would also need to make master before placing an ID tent, so it would not help you to accomplish that goal. I'm not sure how they would handle a terminal (which many IDs would prefer to a tent).

well first of all ... if tents were able to be put in PC's, once i got master ... I WOULD PUT ONE THERE. and as an X-Master Dancer and the previous owner of Viva La'Regas of Crystal Creek Valley, Dantooine, Tempest, and 8 mo veteran of the game, i know that prof based structures are for masters only. Im just saying that if musicians, dancers, chefs, doctors are an important enough part of the Player City set up that SOE has created, then why did they make ID a now necessary part of the game and not think to include us in the necessary life of the Player City? - and as for a terminal, have them be craftable by architects ... every other prof based structure is, but let us be able to place the terminal in any structure that we are admin to and let them only be allowed to be placed by masters ... that would be very cool ... but we need to be given better decor - either stuff only ID's can make (but that woudl be too much like taking over arch) or just bring in better selections for archs to make ... color of furniture, throw pillows, more plants, ect.

Put this macroin F1 key(in place of [self] put your name, in place of [55/155/600] put 55 for cosmetic, 155 for eyes, or 600 for sm). Then, put your dance macro in the F2 key and be sure to loot it to the F2 key. What this will do is start an ID session, give you an alarm to tell you its time to select an ID alteration on your subject, start a dance routine macro, pause until end of ID session, automatically commit to ID session, stop dancing, stop dancing macro, start over.
