Image Designer Archive
Thread: ID's as Player Bounty defense.
Yeah, I had the same exact thought.
I think that's a marvelous idea and it makes the image designer important in PvP too.
I mentioned on a similar post below here, that perhaps the image designer could give people TEF's by changing their appearance too.
These type of changes would put an interesting spin on PvP.
Btw- I'm on flurry too

Thug for hire
Ok, it's probalby already been said, and I'm ahead of myself on the player bounty stuff... but I'd like to put my thoughts down for ya'll to work with.
ID's should be able to change the look (duh already there man) and the name of a player for a set time limit. Tells to their regular name would only work from people on their friends list, anyone else would get a message that he's not avalible (not afk or offline - just not responding). This type of change would last for either the time limit the bounty hunter has to find his mark (if the system has such a timer) or till the mark dies or travels via starport. This would mean once the player is ID'ed he would not be able to leave the current planet without giving up his disguise. I'm not sure exactly how the BH's seeker droids work, but I'm guessing it's onrange from target setup. The ID would reduce the range a droid would have to be from the intended target before it is able to properly identify them. Suppose I'm a smuggler that happens to piss of a Hutt because I decided to keep the loot and sell it myself. A player BH picks up the bounty from a mission terminal with my last known location (last time I traveled via starport). The mark could if he so choose to have an ID mask his appearance and name so to make it harder for the BH to track him down. He could then lay low in a small town or out in the wilds. He wouldn't want to go to his declared residence (duh, that's on record and the BH's first stop). But that's more for a BH post on that forum page.
Just my ideas... which are randomly floating. I enjoy the game a lot, and posting a few ideas here and there to hopefully increase the interaction (and flat out action) between players. Best of luck to ya'll, and if any of you are on Flurry send an email to Bacacuba... got some buisness for you with or without a bounty on my head.
