Image Designer Archive

Any help - I am a marksman/scout with some entertainer (dance/music) and medic - but have not been able to figure out how to earn xp for Image designer - something I think I would like to try - BTW can image designers chan their own image?

Image Design is started with Novice Entertainer, so you already have the skills to do so. The person you are IDing must be in your group. Simply type /im to begin on your target (or /im self to do so to yourself (though IDing yourself seems to warrent roughtly 1/5 the xp as on another person)). Early on, finding a female is your best bet for good experience -- then "change" their lip color without moving the slider (simply goto Face, Lip Color, and hit commit on your barbie head who has agreed to help you out (I find entertainers are generally willing if you describe the process, tell them you won't change anything, and beg), they just hit accept and you get IDxp without them loosing their look.

Kahoe is absolutely correct, however, I wanted to add a couple of more points that might make things easier:

1) Spend the time to "stack" your boxes. The second of your boxes (where you select lip color, etc) will always appear at the center of your screen, so try to move the others in so that when you click 'Face' the next click, without moving the mouse, will be 'Lip color' and then the next will be 'Commit'. This makes things a TON faster.

2) Find another image designer, especially a non-master. I made my entire tree this way! Another Image Designer will understand what you're doing, wont be afraid of you changing things, and will be glad to let you do it as long as you return the favor. Just stack the 'Accept' button under the same spot as you click for the rest and you can grind for as long as your mind points can keep you going.

3) Learn to love Muon gold. If you can find another image designer to help you, and you can stack your buttons and get into a groove of it, you can speed blisteringly through your ID grind by using Muon. If you can't get any Muon because of the price, lack of smugglers, or just you prefer to remain 'clean', learn to watch Dancers and listen to Musicians for the mind buffs they give It'll will improve your duration.
