Thread: Image Designer Competition
This is a repost from the Starsider boards of a competition I'm holding - if you guys who aren't on Starsider want to come and watch you're more than welcome to create a character.

Saturday, the 11th of October at 3PM HST (6PM PST and 9PM EST)
at Vincen Ander's Abode (3860, 4043) - North of Mos Entha
Each Entry will be composed of a team of three people: An Image Designer and two Models
Each team needs to come up with a 5000cr entry fee to participate. Please contact Vincen in-game if you plan on entering.
This will be a friendly competition between Image Designers of all ranks on the server of Starsider. There will be two categories:
Attractive - Entrants of this category will recieve a make-over that will attempt to make them look like the most attractive participant.
Rediculous - Entrants of this category will attempt to look the silliest.
All entrants will then be voted on by our audience.Because of that it is recommended that the models participating look rather plain looking on entrance as the audience will most likely be looking for a drastic change. Winners of each category will recieve half of the entry fee, so the more people that enter the bigger the pot!
If you are not participating please come and watch! If you haven't seen what an Image Designer can do to a person (both hair, face and body wise) then you are in for a big shock! Oh, and please, no ID requests while the competition is going - they will have their hands full as it is.
I got the in-game email about this, but there is one MAJOR issue that prevents me from being there.
This coming Saturday, in real life, I turn 24. So I won't be home. 
HAPPY BIRTHDAY (to be)! Welcome (soon) to the wonderful world of 24! (I'm 24 myself). Sorry you can't make it, but Birthday takes priority. I just hope I get some registrees. Kwee pointed out that with the rediculous category some people might not want to had their character made all silly because the IDers might not be able to get their appearance back to normal. Doh!
So anyway, if there are some IDers from other servers who want to participate in this event and are willing to go through the rediculous make-over, please post here! I'm sure there will be a couple IDers who can't find anyone to work on.
If we come home early enough I'll try to make it. I had an idea when I was mulling this over last night, Image Designers competing could make themselves look ridiculous, we all have how to fix ourselves memorized right? 
Hi folks - I'm sorry to say this but I'm going to be postponing the event until I can get some problems worked out. Some of the problems are inherent with the profession (changing someone's appearance and then changing it back - of course with the new slide indicators it might not be so bad). The other is asking people to choke up money and models . . . I'll be the first to admit that this was a really, really bad idea.
So, in light of that I'm going to save up a little while and hopefully collaborate with other Image Designers on a better way to do this competition. Sorry again for those of you who were planning on attending. I guess I'll chalk this up for experience.
