yes , so long as you are not maxxed on XP.
half of what you get on IDing others.

Holoemotes and cosmetic changes (i.e. hair style, hair color) = 100 xp on another, 50 xp on self.
Body changes (height, weight, eye color) = 300 xp on another, 150 xp on yourself.
You will get eye color at ID2, and that is the only "body" modification you get until novice ID. Obviously you should use body changes when you can, because it's more xp. As for what constitutes a body change, sometimes it makes no sense (like eye color being a body change).
