perhaps if you sticky this, people like me will quit bothering the real IDs

#1-set up a second account (I am using the 7 day buddy key, but you could set up an actual account if only for 1 month)--set the home city in kor vella

#2-make it an entertainer, and human-this gives you the best id options.

#3-write these macros for your main char, and travel to Kor Vella

macro 1-design
/image;
/imagedesignSetValue hair_color 9;
/macro design2;

macro 2-design2
/image;
/imagedesignSetValue hair_color 10;
/macro design1;

macro 3-stop
/dump

#4-group with your secondary character, have it dance and have your main char watch it.

#5-take some muon gold and any food/frink buff you want to use and hit the macro. use the second account and click accept as fast as you can. re-use buffs as needed.

#6-if you are standing outside the starport in Kor Vella right next to you is an entertainer trainer. once you hit a new level go train.

you will finish the entertainer branch and qualify for novice ID in about 15-20 minutes.

#7-move location to near an ID trainer like in Theed. do the same thing and train with the ID trainer each time. you will wrap upmaster in a day or 2. as you move up the ladder, change your macro for commands that give more xp for each hit

#8-take your secondary char and use ID on your main char, but only learn the first block of ID (the one that takes 1000 pts-that will take about 1 minute) as novice entertainer. now have your main char train the second char in ID I, you get 20 app pts for the main char. immediately unlearn the skill with the secondary char

#9-rinse and repeat step #8until you have trained your 2nd char in ID I 32 times--you will have the app pts for master ID if you started at 0 app pts. I havent done this yet, but i figure it wont take more than an hour or 2.

You know, it's funny you should mention that…but there is a sticky that details macros. And you don't actually need to change anything, so having two macros to go back and forth between two colors isn't necessary. And it's safer to find a female avatar who'll let you design her and use /imagedesignSetValue eyeshadow 1 so that you aren't actually changing anything at all, regardless of her settings (I've yet to meet the female toon that can have eyeshadow and doesn't) just in case you give her the Outstanding Offer bug. But we do apreciate the contribution.

I'd love to have something like this stickied However, until I can be 100% sure that the cross species exploit cannot be done any more (this is the third time it's been "fixed") I don't want to make the commands easilyavailable. I've recently heard rumors that the exploit can still be done If it weren't for the exploit I would have put abig fatsection on macros in my guide months ago. It's definitely info we need made available, and not just for holo ID's.

i don't know about any exploit. whay is it called an exploit--i mean what makes it exploitative? just using legal commands, you can hardly level this prof any faster and if some guy has a feature not of his regualr species, isnt the ability to change beyond the default choices an advantage to an ID?

The exploit (which *crosses fingers* has been fixed) involved allowing Novice Entertainers to offer any hairstyle to anyone, regardless of whether they qualified for it or whether the species even had hair. It's the cause of all the Wookiees with afros and Lekku, and MonCals with the same, and Humans with Bothan hairdos, and…well, you see the problem.

I guess I just have one question...

What exactly is the problem with swapping hair styles from one species to another?

I agree. Having the ability to give hair styles to any character when YOU haven't earned the right to "do" that style is a problem...

But who cares if a Wookie has an Afro?

The cross species hairdo exploit was controversial. Image designers themselves did not take a uniform position on the issue. If you want to see the arguments for or against, use the search feature on this very board for some lively discussion.

For right now: Sony fixed it because Sony did not want it to be done. So that avenue is foreclosed. It would be much more productive to focus on how we can implement more customization through other means.

btw, i found in the course of my grind that is you get focus to 1500+ or so, the change hair color command takes off only3 pts of mind. if your willpower isat a decent level, your mind doesnt drop more than 100 pts even after grinding 30,000 XP--which took me about 10 minutes or less.

if you get focus to1580 or so, hair color chnage takes off NO mind pts.

also, for sheer grinding, i found that hair color is the best xp for mind loss ratio. at 650 focus, hair color gives you 50 xp for -37 mind loss. thats better than a1:1 ratio. the other 6 or 7 items i tried gave much more xp, but at a much greater mind loss.

Master was my 4th and final holo, and I had it finished in about 4 hours with a macro I had been using for the first part for changing the eyeshadow (able to change to 0 value on any avatar and not have an issue since the 0 value is to turn it off.) I thought this was pretty nice exp until an ID master told be weight change would grant me 250 exp per change, and freckles would give 100. The problem with these 2 is that they eat a decent amount of mind. I'm pretty fortunate to have a master CM friend who let me IS hime in the cantina. I ID him like mad, when my mind is drained he uses the CM mind heal, and im back in action, he aquires mind wounds and bf, and is listening to the entertainers in the cantina giving them healing exp. So heres what i used for driving through ID like there was no tomorrow.

Food - 1 Breath of Heaven, 2 Ryshcate (about 5 min of 1500+ focus) you wont use any mind for the entire time this effect is running at full. The Ryshcate run out about 80 sec before the BoH. Lenght of the buff can be longer if it is BE enhanced food. {These foods are the favorite of rifleman.. i know i just Mastered it in a little under a week of solo hunting becuase of these foods} Anyway.. back to topic. While the foods are at full effect do ID change for </image; /imagedesignsetvalue weight o; /pause 1; /ui action toolbarSlot0x> (x = which ever hot bar slot you have the macro in for those that don't know). This gives you 250 IS exp per shot, and becuase of the food, you burn 0 mind while doing this.

When the food wears off, switch the "weight 0" in the macro to "freckles 0" (again the 0 value being off, it wont matter if the avatar can have freckels or not.) And take a Muon Gold.Changing the weight gives you 100 exp per change. Again I was using my friends CM to ID becuase he could heal my mind pool, which even with muon it dropped pretty quickly since i was looping the macro every second. You might need to find what speed you need to pause the macro to keep your mind at a level you like... or find a CM friend/player to keep you healed. (They dont need to be master, just be at least 0/4/0/0 for the mind heal. Even better if they arent becuase they can get healing exp on the musicians while they are letting you ID them.)

When the muon drops, make sure you /dump the macro quickly or there is a pretty decent chance you'll incap. I found this out once, and made sure to be faster on teh /dump command. Wait 3 min for the downer to wear off, and pop the food again and switch the macro back to changing weight. You also have the option to take the food again right away to help counter the downer, but you would need to switch to modifying eyeshadow until the downer wears off, and then back to weight change until the foos buffs are gone.

Doing these macros, and taking the foods, you could easily master ID in about 2-3 hours. Hope this helps some of you holo grinders, or those that want to be master ID becuase, but not really want to deal with having to beg to allow someone to change their stuff.
