I've been playing for only 2 weeks now and I really was interested in the Entertainer Profession and took a huge liking in the Image Designer. After a while of grinding as some say to get the exp I mastered it. I read that they are making changes to the class and I already can't wait. They sound so neat.

Also was wondering, what should I charge for my services. Right now I just say I accept donations, which I have gotten anywhere from 500 - 15000 credits. Even one person didn't pay me, but then again I did say donations and I didn't mind to much.

Also I want to hear why you guys like this profession so much?

Welcome to the community

What do I like? Honestly, mostly I just like being able to change anything about my char on a whim I have fun doing makeovers for interactive nice customers but my primary reason for being an ID'er is to makeover myself

My price list varies from 1-4k per change. Here it is as posted by Kink, who has left the game ----> http://www.zinckiwi.com/id/

Congratulations on mastering image design

My reasons are pretty much the same as kwee's i couldnt live without it, as a tailor also i change my outfit fairly often, and i allways change myself with ID to match the outfit.

Still all tingly with anticipation of tommorow's patch, now i can finally end my strike and start ID'ing public again, already made myself a price list on current stuff (took me 6 months to get there but i did it)

yeah I wanted to be able to change my appearance at will as well. One of the reasons I chose it myself. Also I love to make over my roommates character, she is going for tailoring to make me some outfits. She already mastered Artisan. She was my test subject so I had it pretty easy I guess.

Thanks for the responses.

I chose to master image design in order to change my appearance for special "musical" performances. Inow have a salon at my cantinaand work for tips.

Why tips and not a set price? I think the average person sees the value in getting a "salon treatment" and will tip well if the image designer has "performed" well. ::giggles::

My biggest tip: I went to Dathomir in my mobile unit to handle a fashion emergency. A cute furry bothan wanted to look good for the witches. ::laughs:: When we were all done he graciously tipped me 1,000,000. Yes, that's ONE MILLION credits! I verified the amount with him. He told me that if he could have tipped more, he would have. ::laughs:: I spent about an hour with this customer getting his "look" just right. Of course, I made some color suggestions that he would never have thought of. He was the most unique looking bothan I had seen after all was said and done.

If I charge a set price, I would be cutting off the potential of making a lot more! I do not take part in combat, so tips are my bread and butter.

I do "charge" for the expenseof travel if the purchase of a ticket is required.

I am the same with enhancing the mind through music. I just set out my tip jar. ::laughs::

Congratulations on making Master! I think the most important thing is to have fun doing it!

Many moons ago, when I started as Avadiha (my dancey Twi'lek girl), I couldn't quite decide what I wanted to be. My ORIGINAL plan was to be a tailor (interesting, how we all come full circle), but that was before crafting macros were a common thing, and I was grinding away, making hide boots for six hours a day, just to get to domestic arts 4. So, I decided that if I couldn't MAKE pretty clothes, WEARING them was the next best thing, and I decided to become a dancer. This sort of evolved out of a roleplay that I had going with an old friend (I was his concubine, LOL). And I really, REALLY wanted to be able to do the pretty dances that I was seeing other people do. So I started working on dancer. This was also before AFKing was really an issue, so I did most of dancer at the keyboard. Took me about three weeks, and it was the first profession I mastered. At this point, I started dabbling in ID... I couldn't figure out, when I started the game, what "Image Designer Experience" meant. I wasn't paying enough attention to my 'toon to realize that when that little box popped up for me to accept or reject, that something was being changed on me. So I investigated ID myself to figure it out. I liked it, it was fun, but I didn't decide to master it until I discovered flesh tone infiltration suits. LOL. Ava is a Twi'lek, and therefore has odd flesh toned shades. It's difficult to match it sometimes. And the milky white color that I normally am... impossible. So I decided I wanted to be an ID so I could buy infiltration suits in purple, green, blue, etc. and look naked. ROFL. That was my inspiration. It worked nicely too, until they decided that we shouldn't be able to look naked. Nevermind that exotic leotards are ten times more revealing than the ILLUSION of nudity ever could be... but I digress. But I got to be a dark purple naked looking Twi for a little while, anyway. At this point, I started reading the ID forums and talking to everyone on here, and I got hooked. I've kept ID on one character or another ever since. I'm gonna have to give it up on Ava pretty soon, and that makes me kind of sad... but I'd rather have her be my dancer anyway.

Welcome to the fold, we hope you love it as much as we all do.
