Well ever since I saw how and image designer would effect the GCW I have always had the thought in the back of my head. Well I don't know to much about the profession but I think these could be some ideas that could get some attention.
- I think for image designer to be introduced into the GCW they would need to be able to craft some items that would affect the look of the players identity.
My first thought was a masking kit. That would be able to be worn by a overt rebal or imperial that would mask their overt state. Of course you would craft A mask that would be similar to a food, spice, or med buff that would have a duration and of course then the quality of the crafting ability of the image designer the mask could fool the opposite faction to a certain rank of the opposing faction. Also there would be an amount of uses. I think this would be sort of a cool little item to have when wondering around the cities like Bestine (for Rebals) and Anchorhead (for Imperials).
My second thought is a costuming kit. This would be a similar item but it has a better twist especially for those that are trouble makers. It would be a crafted item that would be able to change the characters faction to the opposing faction for a duration of time of course this would have to be limited to a small amount of time. It would be basically a spy kit that could be used to get behind enemy lines and sneak up behind the opposing faction member and attack. I really think it would be a neat little item to have. But it could be a one time use item with of course hard to find resources.
I think if we want to integrate this profession into the GCW it needs to fall into line with the image of the player changing to the opposing faction.
Please respond with your thoughts!!!

Neat idea though I think both, if they were implemented, would fit the smuggler skillset more aptly.
The idea of masking your faction state is already in place: covert. Unless if you mean covert overt which is really just covert anyway (and that gets to making headaches!)
The ability to temporarily change factions just isn't a good idea in my opinion. On top of the myriad of ways to exploit this it is likely a pain to put into coding.
Personally I don't think every skill needs to be involved with the GCW (only a handful are actually directly involved) nor do I think skills should be tied into the core gameplay functions in some way. Image Designer is a unique purely social profession that offers no benefits or detriments (aside from SP's) in the scheme of gameplay. What it does provide is something purely aesthetic and tries to suit each unique individual.
Well that's my thoughts on the matter.
