Hi guys,

Just spotted a thread over at my local Chimaera forum that intrigued me so I thought id bring it here for discussion.

It details neon lekku on a Twi'lek. The pictures look very similar to some kind of UV body paint under black light. Im assuming they came about due to a graphics card/driver issue.

The main point is i think they look fabulous and I would kill to see stuff like this in game. Imagine setting up a few UV lights (crafted by architects) in your home / party venue then being able to have an image designer apply UV makeup / body paint that glows near the lights.

This was something that hadnt occured to me before just wanted to share with the ID community even if it currently is the result of a dodgy graphics set up that only one person can see

Sorry i didnt see your thread posted 13 mins before mine Elhanna. Was just too excited when I saw neon lekku and raced here as fast as I could

I was just poking around this bored and saw this thread.

I just thought I'd let you know that, in case you already didn't know, those images where PhotoShoped. They're not actual pictures and they have nothing to do with "lighting" in the game.
You can tell by taking a look at that one picture with the statue. By looking at the statue, you can tell that the photography simply took the hues of blues (or whatever other color they wanted) and changed them to "glow" (and along with some other traits you can tell). I do it all the time when I edit pictures for my different websites.

Just thought I'd let you know!

eh... no! I don't know how to use photoshop, I don't have it at all as a matter of fact

I dont think he's saying that you used photoshop..but that someone did. You can definatly tell since in the one picture even the statue is glowing. It's somebody's personal pics..so its a good chance she spiced them up a bit.

It wouldhowever be a very cool look, wish it could be done.

The shot isnt photoshopped. My graphics card freaks out under certain lighting conditions and hair on people and lekku on twils glows similar to the SS refrenced. Only difference is they glow red for me. It is affected by one of the settings in the loader options. If i disable one (don't remember which one) of the options it fixes the problem. If I leave it on stuff on peoples heads glow red under the right lights. If I remember I'll grab a SS and post it.

I've had graphics card issues too. Bright red hair and glowing red eyes (and bracelets) at night in certain conditions. Makes people look like vampires, but only certain people. Weird.

People's eyes sometimes glow when I'm trying to ID them in one of the side rooms of the cantina. Must be the lights?
