Not been reading the ID forum much lately due to negativity, but i usually do, and just kind of felt i had to post something.

Im not one to judge things till i see it myself, I dont jump to conclusions, Ive seen the list of changes and none of them drive me insane with rage.

Kwee does a good job, however she is one of us, has feelings like us, plays the same game we do, and enjoys Image Designing like us. She however is chosen to represent us AND ACCEPTED (ie she does this voluntary, she is not paid a salary), we know exactly what information she gives theDev'sbecause she tells us before giving the info to them, if anyone has problems with the information she gives them, theyhave pleanty of opportunity to speak up, yet i see no complaints. Even when there is an outcry over the stat migration she relayed the information to the Dev's, I hope no one is faulting her. Your doing a great job Kwee /hug/hug/hug

We had a reply here from a Dev(?) who explained why they did what they did, sounds reasonable to me, we are all adults here, no need to scream and kick over things which really are quite minor in the scale of the game. They cantdo everythingin a day, so they do what they can when they can, and this is the result, they obviously have a LOT of work they are doing, through all proffessions, and for other aspects of the game, They use Correspondant feedback as a source of Idea's not a textbook to write from, we can give Kwee any information and she can pass it to the dev's but no matter what it is, the Dev's are the ones who are adding the content, and looking at the whole picture, what can/cant be done within a time frame, what will unbalance game, what will create too much lag. Give them And Kwee credit for what they are doing they are not stupid, we all want the same thing here, a more fun and enjoyable game experiance.

So lets give the changes a chance, rather than condemning things before really seeing how they work out. (if stat migration really is bad, they can allways change it back later right? no way to know if its better or worse just by seeing the words written down)

right on kwee rocks and does a very good job

if you dont like how the proffession is turning out then it is either

A. the devs misinterpreted what she wrote or have decided to go another dirrection

or

B. you havent made your wants known in a productive possitive manner

also on a side note

i dont like hearing all the dev bashing. the devs are doing thier best to give everyone what they want and need. maybe stat migration isnt the best thing they could have given us but i have seen the idea of giving us that on these boards and posted by image designers

To start with, I have never faulted Kwee for any of this. I have always had, and still have, the utmost respect for her, and believe that she does everything within her power to represent our wants and needs to the devs. I do, however, fault the devs for claiming to value communications while all the time lying by omission, and then admitting it flat out. This sort of action undermines any faith we as a community can have in the validity of our communications.

Further, the lack of coherent communication until, and even including, the day before the publish hit test center is incredibly disheartening. Thinking back we were told about halfway through that our particle effects would be like "holo-emotes," but noone, Kwee included, knew quite what this meant. Had we been told "large images hovering above/around the player's head, to include skulls, kitties, bubbles, notes, and factional insignia" I would venture to guess that we, asa community, would have presented options for a system we would have been more pleased with. Finally, being sprung with a surprise "critical function" and being told that we hadn't heard of it sooner because they didn't want our feedback is downright insulting.

We discussed "critical function" in response to Runsabre's call for ideas and I believe it was made quite clear that under no circumstances did we want IDs to be the only route to stat migration. True, it was a high one on our universal acceptance list, but the manner in which it was implemented leaves it open to manifesting all of the things we did not want image design to become.

It is true that there is only but so much that can be done due to time constraints and issues of lag, be they network, render, or otherwise. We could not reasonably expect new hairstyles in the time they had to develop. We could not expect wind-blown effects due to lag issues. I understand and accept all of this. The source of my recent negativity, and the thing that will keep me in this frame of mind, is the blatant disregard that has been shown us despite assurances to the contrary. We were lied to, and I won't stand for that from anyone. Not in real life personal interactions, not in in game virtual interactions, and not here on the forums.
