I know we havn't gotten the big publish yet and that this IS jumping the gun, but I have this annoying habit of forgetting things. so I'm posting it now while it's fresh in my mind that way I don't forget to later.

We all remember My little tangents about how "Oh it's so hard to make this change to hair or that change... but if they would let them cross some species..." And my reasons why it was hard to do it (the character head mesh for the races being different...)

Now I've found that's probably not true.

Today I was checking female bothan styles on Irys. ... then later I am working on a Zab male and notice... Huh.... I could have that style minus the horns..... Then about 30 minutes later a human male.... a Bothan male... and it occured to me...

There are some styles that already cross races (and I mean cross race in the races WITH hair... not replacing lekku with hair. we know how I feel about that)

So... seems to me that if they did this- and these styles ARE identical... that the skull mesh for the Human, Rodian, Zabrak and Bothan are the same.

If they are the same- then it is possible to alter the codes on hair and allow us to use all styles on Hair blessed races (or gender in the rodian case) Zabrak might be a tad more dificult- since the horns merely replace the areas where there already isn't hair on some styles, but there are a number of styles without hair in areas that I think would be fine on Zabrak (a mohawk would crack me up. I'd give my Bothan a mohawk for a day hehe)

I personally think that this publish has given us a TON that we've needed in a while. (yes, I like the glitter thing but to me, getting bald, getting the true eye shape slider and all is MUCH more important)

I also think that giving races more hair selections is very important and that a lot of the styles available are suitable to cross species is very important. (and a rodian with a bobbed hair style or the seashell one will look much different than a human with it. Bothans would need the hair to allow their ears to poke through though...)

Perhaps the next BIG thing we ask for should be that they let many of those styles work with other races....
