the number 1 problems for the imagedesigners who are upset about the changes seems to be Stat Migration. To be honest I dont belive it is statmigration itself it two factors surrounding it. First of all the Timer. It takes 10 mins. Next the price IDs charge that make people unhappy.


Therefore I would say the problem is not Stat Migration but:


1. Timer

2. Price


Solution: Imagedesigners keep statmigration like today. But it does not take 10 minutes. 3 minutes would be enough. Then prices would drop a lot, and more or less everybody would be happy. Ids would still play a role in the overall game.. I think the negative trend could then have been changed as players would see stat migration only take about 3 minst and cost 4-5k...

I still believe that the best solution is giving player the old migration system back, maybe taking longer still, while we keep our ability to migrate (although something should be done about how the timer is implemented, still, to make it better for us - say a medic-style timer or many of the other suggestions that have been thrown about). This would reduce bitterness from the player-base at having something taken away from them, and also make us a luxury again, meaning that customers who came to us would once again be grateful for our time, happy to see us and far nicer (in general at least), and who knows, prices may even drop then.

As an ID, my standard feeis only 5k for a stat migration. During the 10 minutes or so that I'm chatting withmy customers,they usually find something else for me to do to them as well. Of course each additional thingis an extra charge,but I usually wind up getting a tip as well.


This is why I don't believe in charging them "an arm and a leg" up front for a stat migration (as some IDs might be doing). I have a few repeat customers, and there is very little resentment for my services in this regard for something that was once free of charge, and could be done by yourself.

Cutting migration time much further results in Migration being nothing more than a situational stat adjustment.

The timer for Stat Migration includes consideration for GCW balance. The nature of the UI forces the timer on both however. But try to push other changes on your new clients, or at least, when/if we get new art content, you can showcase that when they come in for SM.
