You will definitely want to stock up on focus and willpower food an drink, find a master musician to listen to, and a friend to practice with For more general tips on Image Design, check out my Image Designer guide at swg.warcry.com, clicky is in my signature. Good luck!

I posted this on a thread about macros, but it applies here also. If you don't want to usethe macro the info on master musicians would still be very helpful.

Here's the version I got to work. It repeats really fast, & you can change the ID option to higher ones as you get them. You still need a willing victim to click accept though.

The trick is to use this with the master musician mind buff tactic described in the other thread. Listen to a master musician for about 5-10 minutes, then STOP listening for a second or two & start listening right away again. Your mind stats should shoot up a lot. Keep doing this because the mind stats will continue to shoot up to the point you aren't losing any mind at all even though you are doing ID options for the max (275) points every second. If there's a master ID around to train you so you don't have to leave it's even faster.

Anyway, here it is:

/image
/imagedesignSetValue eye_color 00
/pause 1
/ui action toolbarSlot00

Hope it works for you. It worked wonders for me when I recreated my character on Ahazi. I made all the points for master in less than a day total.

Enjoy,

I can't get that macro to work, and it would be soo helpful when grinding on myself if I didn't have to lick through 4 windows. If I enter that in a macro, all it does is to open the image design window for me :/

Do you mean the one I posted? or the one in the original post? The one I posted should work on yourself or another person both. It will work on whoever you have targeted. To target yourself press the F1 key first (or whatever key you bound it to).

Ahh I think that was the problem - I didn't have myself targetted since just using /im also works on yourself if you don't have any target. It works now, thanks =)

What slot do I need to place the macro in if it uses toolbar slot 00?

Top Left, then for each next one over to the right, increase the code by one. For example the 2nd over from the top left would be "02" etc.

ah, scratch that, the 2nd one over would be "01" hehe. This board needs an edit feature!

OK guys, sorry but I'm having a hard time getting this macro to work. I typed it exactly as you posted it, put it in the F1 slot and didn't have anyone highlighted (going to use it on myself) but when I run it it goes to the first screen (like if you just type /image) and then get stucks...it just repeats something like "you're all ready running image" (or something to that effect, didn't write down the exact words)...

...but it just gets hung up at the first /image.. please I must be missing something on this macro, do I have to write something extra then what was typed... I just wrote the exact 4 lines of text into the 'edit macro' window and it's not working.

Thanks

Dunno why it won't work for you. Check that all caps & spaces etc. are correct. Another thing you may need to try is editing the ID option portion of the macro to a command for a selection that you know for sure you can perform on yourself.

It's a guess, but it could be that option commands may be different based on species etc. For example, even though we all have eyes, maybe we don't all have the option for "color 00" depending on what species we are. It's worthtinkering with itto see.

Will have to try it again.. I know when I did it last night I didn't have anything targeted, I wouldjust click on the ground to make sure(thought by doing that I become the target by default, though maybe I'm wrong).. what's the key to target myself then?

Since I haven't achieved Novice ID yet, but aspiring to, is there a way that the macro can be modified so that those who don't have eye color, can gain XP through this macro, say using Hair Color?

Thanks.
