Thread: One time I was actually impressed with the exploit
This will sound strange coming from me. And it wasn't really the Exploit itself.... but how it was used.
But I saw a very imaginative use of the hair exploit.
I am in the coronet Starport (or Kor vella, who knows.) And as I am getting a ticket I see a blue guy with black hair and red eyes. Well, the only blue humans I know are Twi'lek who did sucha shameful (and retarded, litterally) act of chopping off their lekku. I mean, IMAGINE! Lobotomizing yourself! for shame!
So, being the very proud Twi'lek that I am, I snorted at him.
When we reached the Protocol droid who would take our ticets, he asked me privately why I had snorted at him. So I told him it was because his character had chopped off his Lekku. I recieve no answer....
So I read his Bio.
I get as far as "A secondary blood relative of Thrawn" when I imediately start typing an appology. I needed nothing else. I sent
/tell OH! I see now! Chiss!
And he laughs, telling me that most people don't even know what a chiss is. But I happen to Roleplay Starwars on pen and paper as well, so I do know many of the races. Especially Grand Admiral Thrawn. Blue skin, hair, red eyes. I could NOT believe that I had missed it. (but beng a rabid hater of exploits blinded me a bit)
So. his Bio continues with his Chiss character's background. I had to admit that despite the fact that it is still wrong, the player was not a "I just want to break the rules" or a "I want to be a Mon-Twi'lek! A fish with lekku!" character. He used what was available to make a different race that DOES exist in the starwars universe. I was impressed, oddly.
Even though I still frown on the exploit- I had to applaud the ingenuity of his Bio. even if it was a rather easy thing to do. hehehe.
into the Shop and i hear him say "Hello fellow Chiss"
i see the person hes talking to its the Weapon smith she is also like that.I thinking "wow...i had no ieda ID could give you blue skin".Later i found out that they were twi'lek who used the bug.I wonder if they are stuck like that.
Hehe this bugg gave us Chiss AND kept them rare lol
I saw a female wookiee with a bothan hairdo. She had cute wispy bangs, and no hole in the head. Basically the only "hair" she had was the bangs and the rest melted into her fur. Very stylish.
Too bad other wookiees had to slap lekku onto their heads and look ridiculous.
Well i have to admit i know the Chiss that your talking about. He is a member of my PA, and when i first saw him after talking in tells i was pushed back a bit. I to am a avid star wars fan, but more in the books than other games. I read his bio as we spoke and i was really impressed. He truely likes the roleplay aspect of the game, but he was disapointed that the "Admiral" could be seen at the Imperial retreat, but there was no option for the race in the start up screen. So he goes to every Image Design site that he can find and figures out a way to become Chiss. He talked to me briefly when the patch was about to live and he even told me that if he lost his hair he would delete and start a new. This for me makes him a stand up guy. Even though this may be considered an exploit, i think that he has done well. And in my opinion he is not exploiting the game he used creativity and knowledge to achieve the roleplay character that he wanted. I say Bravo to him...and let him keep the hair!!!!
