Hi all,

I would like people's opinion on something. Right now I'm a master image designer. I also want to master tailoring. What would be the best "merchant" skills to take with these? I obviously want to have at least one vendor. It can be a machine, doesn't have to be a person. Also, what stats do you guys* think would be good for this class combo? Any advice would be cool.

Thanks,

Rockfang

P.S. I put guys as a generic term even though I'm probably one the only males to combine these skills.

Depends on how the vendor nerf goes. If the item cap isn't too horrific, I'd suggest 3-4-4-1 Merchant. If it is bad, I'd suggest 3-1-4-4 Merchant. But me, I just bought a second account so my Master Image Designer/Master Tailor had someplace to sell her clothes, without having to drop her pistoleer skills.

I would say that you should get ad 3 without question. Other than that, well-dressed vendors are the key, but you may have to sacrifice fashion for additional vendors (argh.) The one thing I don't really see as necessary is efficiency 4. Ok, yes, it's a 20% decrease in maintenence, but really I haven't found my profit margin moving at all since I got it - and I pay up 7 houses, 4 factories, yadda yadda. I would rather have many well-dressed vendors than a discount. Even with the nerf I think you can probably sell everything you need on 4 vendors, but we'll see how the vendor limits play out.

Rockfang, Atm, i am a master imager and almost finished master tailor... i have merchant 1-0-0-1 and was told by friends that unless you want to dress your vendors, don't worry about the second row. Do advertise and manage, and you should be good!!!!

Good luck to ya!

I was a Master Merchant/Master ID, Novice Tailor but only planned to keep the Master Merchant until I needed the points to master Tailor.

Eventual plan is for Master ID/Master Tailor and I still have some deciding to do on what to surrender in Merchant. Advertising IV was an easy one to give up, Efficiency IV will prob go, and some of my Management. I'll prob keep up to Mgmt I or II. Hiring is a toughie, it's fun to dress my vendors But that's an awful lot of skill points tied up. We'll have to see which skill tree they use to decide how many items you can use on your vendor. I would imagine maybe Mgmt, but they may choose Hiring because it doesn't do much. This is my speculation, I haven't heard anything official.
