Thread: Image Design and Force Design Patterns
- Animated patterns, various shifting patters that the image designer can assign
- Animated Tattoos, Shifting tattos (like the Lekku patterns)
- More freakish hair styles of course
- Force colours, Animated colour shiftings on Hair, fur, Markings or patterns
- Force Holoemotes anyone ??
- Prolonged Holoemotes, make them last longer
That's what reasonable things I can think about.

First it would take an increddible amount of time to programm some of those ideas. And from my own experiences I can tell that the devs really don't know where to start programming all the ideas they allready have...
Second: shifting/changing patterns & tattoos same as shifting colors would look awesome, no doubt... but would cause a tremendous lag for everyone watching it although there might be tricks to reduce that again.
Regarding patterns, consider them like the flailing Lekku as the character runs, it's a pre-determined animation that is loaded with the character details, shouldn't lag any more then current status of game.
As for shifting colours, well, I think that can be loaded with character details as well, but since it's a more intricate (using special graphic features) job, might cause local lag because of graphic adapter (on local machine only). This of course can be negated by lowering the details of characters in the option screen.
I'm not a SWG Dev, but I know something about programming and using the various APIs concerned with Graphics.
Of course, they can simply add more versatile hairdos and/or patterns, colours and other various ID Stuff.

A few months ago we had a decent sized revamp (or Nerf, according to some), and with the combat rebalance and JTL coming up, I don't forsee the dev team having the time to give us any more content. They probably like sleep, and food, and sex as much as the lot of us.
