i am trying to RP my padawan, but its hard with the hairstyle types available so i was thinking they should add a short hair padawan type hair cut and give the option to get a padawan braid.

Not to rain on your Jedi Parade or anything, but we've been asking for more hairstyles for, oh, I dunno... since the game came out? Apparently "it is hard to do" that's dev-speak for it might happen when heck freezes over

Another reason may be that the hairstyles were different from the movies of this timeline to the prequels where we saw the braids. I believe Lucas is intentionally having many of the chars in EP3 have longer "'70's" style haircuts to blend the look of EP3 to match EP4 from 1977.

Y'know, I remember wondering if we'd get a Padawan hairstyle with Padawan status (look! then my Wookiee could finally have a damn braid).

Since you can't get it, maybe you could think of it in terms of another kind of RP - that in this time in the Galaxy, you want to be hidden anyway. You don't want to advertise you're a Padawan in the open. That would invite nasty things.

Unfortunately, it's harder to RP what you are when you're trying to pretend you're not what you are.

Allthough I would really appreciate any new hairstyles I don't think a Padawan-braid is something that we will see...

The reason is simple: Tje padawan-braid was something from the old Jedi order that really is gone by this era. The Dark and Light enclaves have not much todo with that old order and even the knowledge about it seems to be generally gone in this era. And yes, I know that such a high number of Jedi or even Forceusers of any kind does not fit into the timeline either...

I won't complain about a padawan-braid as hairstyle, but since it's nothing you can simply add to an existing hairstyle it would mean that padawans would be running around with all the same hairstyle or lets say 3-4 different hairstyles all in all.

The devs would need to change the system how hairstyles work completely if we want to see padawanbraids just added to the existing hairstyles... and that's definitly a darn lot of work.

Btw: not every race had the padawan-braids... that was mostly a trait or maybe even just a fashion of the human padawan during the era of the rise of the empire (and the downfall of the jedi-order). But a cool fashion for sure
