Can someone tell me how picking races and stat migration works?
Humans get +100 to all stats .. making their values on all stats go up to 1100.
But it seems like other races r not getting these values.
I.E. Mon Cal r suppose to get +300 mind, +300 focus, and +150 willpower
But all I can get is: Mind:1300
Focus:800
Willpower:650
Humans can get: Mind:1100
Focus:1100
Willpower:1100
So.. it seems like being a human is the best thing you can do.
Can ne1 explain?

Yes, Humans are bugged when it comes to what stats they can get. basically, the caps for humans were removed accidently, and were never put back it. The devs are aware of it and plan to eventually fix it. As to when? Don't hold your breath, thats for sure.

Bugged? Interesting thought.
Almost any Sci/Fi or Fantasy RPG has humans as the most versatile race. They do this specifically so people will still want to play them.

Yes, humans are usually the most versatile, but they shouldn't be able to excel inevery particular area better than other races. As a bothan, I get bonuses to action and quickness. My action can be as high as 1300, if I recall correctly, but my quickness caps at 750. With these stats, I can play music for a fairly decent amount of time without stopping. However, if I were human,I could perform nonstop without bothering with doc buffs.
The way stats are now, the only reason not to be human right now is forroleplay purposes, and I can't understand why such a blatent error has not been fixed yet.

I know the devs put a site with all tables for min/max stats for all races somewhere... I'm just unable to find the url... maybe it was this not quite so good friday-feature about stat-migrations?

I found it.
And even though it shows the same 1100 max for humans across the boards, does it make a lick of sense to anyone? Last I checked, most games try to create a balance between races with humans being the happy medium. Here, humans dominate over all others, especially in the substats. Maybe this is a fix we should expect to see with the combat revamp...

Actually, the Human cap was put back in place, and then removed because the Reversion Code did not work well at all.
It's also on the Chopping Block for the Combat Revamp (as part of the HAM changes iirc).

So if humans lose the versatility of their stats and get no racial bonuses why play a human?

So you can buy an AT-ST cheaper?

By that same token, if humans don't lose the versatility of their stats, why play anything else?
Humans will still have a place (they alsohave racial bonuses). While they will not possess any direct strengths in HAM, they will also not possess any direct weaknesses. Humans are the average. Every race aside from human will have stats higher than average in one area while also possessing stats lower than average in another.

you need to stop considering exploiting the game to the fullest possible way and rememebr this is a game that is a rich rp enviroment based on a saga that has inspired3 generations with limitless imagination.
Play the race you wanna associate with! Cant get the stats to work the way you want? I beleive with the combination of a dancer buff, musician buff and a doctors once over buff you can wear anything! That and you could actually go armor less and play with strategy and tacticts.
Woah.. Solo group missions.. Yeah.. in most cases your odds of survival increase and the level of shared fun increases when you actually form a group and work as a team.

What, whoah, Erann, you want hunters to actually be like, social? If the devs wanted that, then they'd force them to interact with other players, you know, like make a center of PC activity that people have to visit every so often... oh wait. They did that. And then I'm told I should be replaced with NPCs that can do my job.
I miss the old days, too. When armor was optional, and doctors saved buffs for extreme circumstances. I guess I'm just ornery after too many AFK stat migrations for uber dudes in their composite.
