I have been playing star wars Galaxies since it came out and this is my first post on here. I started out as Image Designer and i have always been an Image Designer. I put my time in at the tent every time I sign on. I have never set a price on anything that I do to anyone I only ask that people tip me what they think is fair for the service. I make 200k a day most days never charging a price for anything. Yes sometimes people dont tip and sometimes i give free stats or Image work but for the most part i dont mind doing it cause the poeple that do tip, tip well so im not ever gona complain about making money but I dont think its right that ID's chrage a set price for thier work i think it should be tip only.

I have been monitoring IDs online for the last two days, and according to my friend list, none have been online.

I want NPC IDs that I can converse with, pay a fee, and get the services I want.

I should not have to rely on, or have to search for, PC IDs to get this service.

Otherwise, ID services should be set up like a vendor.

Thanks for wanting to render Image Designers useless.

By having NPC IDs, ID session prices would be set by the developement team, NOT the players. That would kill the idea of a player driven economy, now wouldn't it?

Also, if you just "conversed" with NPCs to get changes, how could you tweak things to look perfect? You couldn't! That involves human interaction. And if you were hoping for more than the generic conversation, but a UI for the average joe to use, that would totally defeat the purpose of the ENTIRE profession. And honestly, ID is no less important than Swordsman, Architect, or Combat Medic.

Just because you are too lazy to actually walk into a salon doesn't mean the entire profession should be null and void.

And I would hate to tell you this, there are TONS of IDs across every server that are NOT listed in the sticky. Instead of doing whatever you were doing (I couldn't care less what it was), get off your duff and GO TO A NPC CITY AND SIT IN A SALON. I bet you at least a novice will walk in.

I am not an ID anymore, but your concept on how to "fix" your problem is selfish and hurtful towards IDs. Honestly, I cannot wait to see how they reply to you.

I feel compassion for you... youre so closed minded it has to hurt.
If you don't want to rely on other players there are options, you know?

A) Quit SWG and buy a single player game, case solved (not to mention the favor you do us all by leaving)
B) Buy more copies of the game and create all support characters you need. Doh, but why play a MMORPG at all then?

If you need advise, i would recommend A) for you.

I know lots of other rgames that the only way you can change your look is to make a new character!

I think Galaxies was VERY nice to let this profession into the game giving social people the abilty to play a game and do other things other than kill kill kill

The custom content and craftable formulae in galxies is really really amazing. A player sustained economy! what could a player want other than being a cog in a bigger machine!

You want to Help the Main plot? Do content and plot quests

you want to help an army cross the planet? Become an artisan to build vehicles

you want to change people looks? Become the image desiner

You want to gain as much experiance all by yourself? Camp a dungeon

you want it you go and do it.

I just love the openess of the game as Soe left it to us to decide our role on the server.

If there is no Image designers in sight go to the cantina and help an asipring entertainer! Jion a guild and have a resident ID on the team!

There is limitless possibilities on correcting no ID can be found.

If you find a good one, Tip well and stay in touch. Id'ers want to feel loved and being praised and tipped makes them stay the course!

And to think I only took ID originally because I didn't see the 4 other Character customizations at startup and I thought I'd do ID and complete the entire entertainment tree for the old profession grind!

There a few things that get me out of the tent..

#1 bad tippers - easily solved by setting prices

#2 Bad ingameinteraction by socially challenged players - easily solve with addignore

#3 time to sleep

#4 A guild memeber needing assistance
