Thread: Why be rude??

I was in the salon the other day stat migrating a few guildies of mine. Another Up and coming ID was in there also. She said to her friend (out loud of course) Mikalale is the reason why I can't get any XP .. A master ID has no reason to be hanging around in here. Ummm.. how else do I make money then?.. Are Masters suppose to just sit in a lonley corner waiting for a /tell? *argh* Maybe its just me.. but its just silly.

Don't worry about that person. Some people in this game are extrordinarily dumb.

Iv had real good luck the two times I've been MID now. The servers I'll played them on most other ID's have been nice to each other... Not all but most. I've only had to addignore one ID to date.. I think she gave up ID now. /shrug Good personal skills seems to be a must for success in this Profession. So hang in there

As a Master ID I'm in it for the credits...
Not to sound too bad but c'mon put your dues in or seek guild help to get the exp quicker. Not in a guild? join one.
I sound soo mean but this is no differnt than hunting kimos and being bested by a 1337 combantant that kills steals the dragon.
If your a novice you should be greeting everyone that enters role play it up strut and catch all the customers eyes.
Can't get EXP because there'a maste rint he tent that can provide all the free training you can ever want... it a line used by genX gimmie gimmie gimmie but I don't wanna work for it.
Hunny, stay in that tent and force her to coronet or theed. when I was a novice I went back and forth soo many times before I became the legend.

Well I have to say .. its VERY nice to know I'm not insane.
I just don't understand why people get so nasty at others just because they are a Master and they are not yet. We have all had to do the grind at some point, heck before she opened up her mouth I was going to offer to help her out. But as soon as her lips parted.. that option was out the window 
Anyone else have any really rude people they have dealt with?

Yep.. A Noob ID was very aggressive with afew of my ID freinds. And she ran off two customers that she was IDing... /shrug Made my fans list after that.. It was kinda funny in away watching everyone respond to her conversations in public. It would go something like...
Customer: "Hi (Bad ID Name Here)."
Silence...
Customer: "What? I am not fat! I like my looks.."
Silence...
Customer: "No I don't want you to ID me..."
Slience...
Customer: "Shut Up!!"
Slience...
Customer: "Shut Up!!! Or I'll report you!!!"
It would go down hill from there.. So there is one or two exceptions in the ID profession. But like I said she isn't an ID anymore I think.. And for the most part most ID are a freindly lot..

'Allo, I'm newish (-ish because I haven't played in a long time, I attained Master ID back in May... I got hooked back up with the 10 re-trail, [imagine my surprise at the changes...] and I'm going to stay this time). And I dare say I've seen some real ... erhm... jerks. My usual compromise is that I start bouncing customers to the Novice IDers when I'm stuck on those razifrakin stat migrations. Irritating thing, though? I've noticed a large portion of novices go AFK or don't respond to conversation while I'm there. Highly irritating.

Some people are just idiots. When I was a Novice I was always more than happy to see an MID in the tent. I was more likely to be frustrated if there wasn't anyone more advanced in the profession that I was. I hate wasting credits and app points on an NPC trainer.

My alt is working her way up ID on Wanderhome and so far I love it 
Mikalale, I've never seen you be anything but gracious and polite in the Theed Salon. I'm glad I haven't run into this "Up and coming ID" 
Here's my take....I'm thrilled when I see a MID come into the tent. Not only can I save some money on training, but more importantly, they can clean up after me when I can't get exactly what my customer needs/wants.

I'm a novice ID on Kauri, and I feel that it's convenient to have a master ID around! I hate telling the customers "Sorry, I can't change your skin color, and I don't know where you might find someone who can." And of course the free training is nice. I'm not short of credits, but giving them to an NPC trainer irks me.
There is one instance where master IDs are less fun to be around... when they get bored and start shouting "Free ID services, I'm a master, I'll do everything for FREE!" and then of course, I might as well leave the salon because I sure won't be doing any business!

I can neither imagine or understand why a MID would do that tho. I mean, creds are the only thing we get from it now. It's just pointless to work for free. I know I sure wouldn't. And whenever I'm in the tent with a nov, I pass all the stat migs to them for the exp.
