I have a feeling that when the combat revamp rolls in we are going to be really busy with stat migrations. I for one am going to bump my prices up. Is that a bad thing? What do you guy 7 gals think?

I'm glad I'm not the only one that keeps typing "7" instead of "&" when I post...
Nobody's sure how this revamp will work yet. They say all players are going to be allowed to reconfigure skills... I wonder exactly what that means...

Uping your price now because of the combat upgrade for which the testing hasn't even begun yet seems a bit unfair to me. I would really recomend to wait until the CU will go live and then see if there will be a stronger demand for migrations or not, before I would raise prices for it. and even then think twice about it. Don't forget about your image and how your customers will see you.
But don't forget, that the Combat Upgrade is still pretty far away yet. The devs are really taking great care into this by only taking one step after another. And many many things will change along that long path until it gets finally published. So please don't plan too further ahead yet, the path is still very very long.

For all we know, the players may get to reset their own stats again during the point reconfiguration & ID won't be affected... just throwing that out there for thought. It's still a bit early to tell... maybe wait til 1am instead.

well You can only charge what the market is willing to pay.. if you jack your rates and your the only stat migrator then I'd say go for it...
If your forced to compete for prices then you may have to conceed on the inflated prices...
I wouldn't bat an eye for 20K but then I'm just rich in game and have actually payed opposing player to come pvp.
Think about the newb when you have your prices. I still recall vividly when credits seemed hard to gather

I keep my prices just high enough so that the person takes care when he sets his stats, so that I won't have to redo it. I will always work on n00bs for free, and same for pure-entertainers who have low income.
As for when the CU hits? Well it depends on what the timers are like by then. If the timers are reduced, my prices will be as well.
How do I decide on my prices? Well... I look at a TKM, same amount of points spent, and ask how much the TKM can pull in during an hour. Then I subtract from that estimate the cost of buffs, food, pro-rata decay on armor and weapons, paying the entertainers and doctors for healing afterward. That makes 20k a migration pretty fair in my mind. Same net income for same point cost.

I would not be too quick to wring the market for every cred. On the whole we have a decent reputation but, every demand for 50k stat migrations seems to get noticed and commented on over and over. Make it worth your time and consider the customer when you set your prices. If you are looking to make a fortune a new change, it would be alot more respectable to do it through phenomenal service, than gouging.
By the time it hits, everyone will know better how to react. Now may be too early to speculate as even those in the alpha don't know what the finished product will be like. TechnoCan and NJ62 have the right POV on this, we would do well to mind their comments.

Here is how i have my prices set. I get very few complaints about it, because I am extremely generous with discounts for those who are new and to those who take the time to educate themselves about the imaging pallets. This pricing list is sent out to everyone who contacts me for an imaging session. If they are standing in front of me, i quickly /examine them and tell them what price range they are in, and if they want to take time to look over the sight to figure out what they want, i will apply the discounts accordingly.
Image Design Pricing: http://lryz.tripod.com
Please read the email carefully to decide which price range you fall under.
Prices are as follows and stack. All sessions are to be paid for in cash through the imaging window, so please keep this in mind before starting your imaging session.
If you insist on paying via bank tip, your payment must be recieved before I will commit to the session. Also, please keep in mind that discounts will not be given until the end of the session. Please wait to incert payment or bank tip until you recieve the final price.
Stat Migration: 25k
Off Duty Stat Migrations: 50k (Only applies if I am not currently located INSIDE a major city where there is a salon available.)
Single Image Alteration: 10k
Additional Image Alterations: 5k each
HoloEmote Box: 5k
Traveling Fee: 10k (Only applies if you wish to meet me in a different city than which I am currently located).
ALL ADDITIONAL TIPS ARE WELCOMED AND APPRITIATED!!! If you have visited theabove webpage and come into the session with specific knowledge of what you want (style/pattern number, pallet number), so as to avoid scrolling, you will recieve 50% off the total imaging price. This discount does not apply to SM and/or holobox' purchases only.
If your bio does not contain any second tier mastered skills, all services will be offered at 75% off the original purchase price. As well, if you have specific knowledge of what you would like, via the above web address, your entire session will be offered for no more than 10k (whichever of the two is less expensive).
Complete Noobies (no guild, no badges, no mastered professions, entrance attire or bare minimal noobie clothes) are entitled to completely free services. This is my welcoming present to your experience in the galaxies.
MTFBWY!!!
(All discounts >0.5 credits will be rounded up to the nearest credit, all discounts <0.5 credits will be rounded down to the nearest credit)

Now I'm puzzled. what happens to discounts that are exactly 0.5 credits?

Seeing as how the timers are being cut in half, I foresee the price of stats being cut in half too now. Since those prices were based solely on the issue of time anyway, there would be no justification in keeping them higher, not even if the xp for them is nerfed...
