For a while now, I have said that this bug with changing ones hair style and putting hair onto other races was nothing big, and not to worry about.

Well, last night after the servers went down, I decided to go take a trip to the Chimaera system.
once I got there, I was without skill. I decided that an Entertainer profession would be bast seeing that is what I knew best.

After wandering around the space station, I decided that I would take a trip to the surface.

Once there I tried to change my hair style the way that was shown to me back in the Kettemoor system. I was able to give myself a master hairstyle. How cute, I have the hairstyle that no one else does yet. Wait a minute... No one else has this hairstyle. Why am I getting messaged from people already asking me to do this. To many massages... Must run away... Uhhmmmm help?

I now know what you all mean. I am so sorry for saying this was not an issue.

I really admire you guys for sharing your thoughts with us. I can understand why some people think it's ok to have the interspecies hairstyles, even if I don't agree it is. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) most people don't realize that the commands have been used even by non Image Designers. FishWan and I testedit all out a couple of months ago and found that we had the option to change things we didn't qualify for. I wrote up our conclusions and emailed them to Rilawynwho forwarded them to the devs. The very next patch notes said that the exploit had been nipped in the bud. But apparently it has not That is the only reason why my macro/commands section in my guide is so skeletal, and why I don't reply to people asking about macros except to mention /im. It's a very sad state of affairs and I hope it will be repaired soon.

Well, thank you for that, Kwee and FishWan.

Hmm guess the devs must have thought it was fixed. Hopefully this issue will get fully resolved soon.

I have to say, I feel pretty much the same way. My initial thought was that it wasn't a big deal if a few people had styles that belonged to other races. Honestly, I still don't care much about that, but once it occured to me that the bug allowed people to do changes well beyond their actual ID skill, I changed my mind about the bug. It's that kind of thing (along with those that afk their way through the trees, but that's another post) that really takes away from the ID profession. I hate to say it, but I too was wrong on this issue.

Yup, hopefully they will fix this exploit soon. Every day, more and more people come to me and asks for hairstyles not belonging to their race. It disgusts me!
