I'll probably get booed for this, but I picked up Image Design in hopes that it would unlock my Jedi slot. Well when I hit master, it didnt open anything. Four days later I find myself still a Master Image Designer and I am enjoying it.

Last nite was my first real attempt of selling my skills to the community, and I was amazed by the response. I set out in Theed spamming the spacial chat channel with a message similar to this:

<Master Image Designer> Tired of your look? Need a new butt to look at as you run across the galaxy? Send me a tell for all fo your Image Design needs.

It took a few minutes but I finally got some customers. The first thing I was asked was "How much do you charge?" and being new to the profession I had no clue what i chould charge for my services. SoI told them that it was up to their generousity and how much they appreaciated my services. Most of the people seemed quite happy with that response and seemed to be in a good mood and chatty when I was working on them. At the end of the sessions I was again asked how much I charged, and i gave the same response. Then to my amazement I received what I would consider huge tips. The tips ranged from 10k at the low end, 20k seemed to be the typical tip, and I even received a 100k tip! And to think I was going to charge in the area of 2k per attribute changes... man would I have short changed myself.

I know that somewhere down the road there is going to be someone that tips 100 credits... but judging from last nite that will be the extreem exception. Has anyone had similar expieriences?

My average tip runs about 4.5Kcr, ranging anywhere from being stiffed to 50Kcr for a single session. It's really a grab bag when you work on tips, but so far the good has outweighed the bad for me, so I'm happy.

I work purely off of tips as well, and I've had the same kinds of encouraging experiences as you, Kalbo. But count yourself lucky for that 100k tip! That's something rare indeed! Mine usually range from between 10k and 25k. My best experience was actually not in designing someone, but letting someone design me to holo grind. He ended up tipping me 50k and was a really nice guy about it. I almost didnt let him work on me, cuz I was in a grumpy mood, but I was really glad I did. I didnt worry about money for a week! Just make sure you dont get too accustomed to it. You're bound to hit some speedbumps along the way. Everyone does.

When I first started working on ID I would sit by the trainer while I ground—I met a very nice hologrinder who ended up paying me 350Kcr for getting him from Novice Entertainer to Master Image Designer. Aparantly I can click really, really fast, and they like that.
