Thread: How much will we be affected by Publish #6?

Okay... I've been sore for some time becuase I now realize that carrying around a crate of muon is bound to get me fined a lot of money, or shot.

But what about OTHER mind buffs? With my mind like it is I need those buffs to do my job, and as much as I like to ID I'm not changing my migration if there's another way.

Angerian Fishak (currently) will do wonders for my work... but not always. And worst of all... Publish #6 TOTALLY re-does Chef. So far, the best mind-buffers I've found off the Chef boards are like so...

Vagnerian Canape
Focus and Willpower +470 for 3m42s

Spiced Tea
Mind +41 for 36m30s

Vasarian Brandy
Mind, focus, willpower +136 for 33m30s

As you can see... nothing near Muon's attributes and some of them seem rather lacking. Granted, these were made with 'on-hand' resources and anyone who knows about Experimentation can tell that the more saavy Chef's will be making better, but remember that the way food works is different too. The wear-off times are different, the amount you can eat is different. Basically, for us ID's that rely on Mind Buffs, Publish #6 may bring some hefty problems. Just wanted to make my thoughts. Feel free to comment.

With bio additives chef food and drink can add over 1000 of the various attributes. This isn't quite ready, but here's a customer friendly food/drink web site Vandessa (TC corr) has been working on, using the work of chefs on TC

I'm not sure if the max end of the ranges are with bio additives, i'm guessing not.

A quick look on the Chef forums showed me what I feared. The best actual mind buff there (felbar) is stated on the Chef forums as being a PET ONLY food. Meaning, it only works on you pets. Not too useful for us ID's.

I hate to sound pessimistic (SP) but I feel a NERF coming on.

I think that the replacement for fishnak is supposed to be vesarian brandy. It looks like the mind buff is slightly less than fishnak, but it lasts long and is not nearly as filling, so you can keep using it after it wears off. Something that buffs all three stats by as much as 300 and can last nearly an hour without being completely filling sounds good to me!

Either way hard to consider such a thing a nerf for those of us who got our ID skills marching through the snow, uphill, both ways

Oh. I hadn't even considered it was about grinding! I sometimes use fishnak during those long IDing sessions when someone wants every part of their body changed. There are a lot of times when I run out of mind so I use food to get through the session.

Actually... I use them when I need to do things such as skin color, and some facial mods. 500 mind (Even with good focus/willpower) still doesn't register as enough of a pool for some of these skills. Never mind runing LOW on mind, is can't even DO the skills ONCE 'till I buff. Ghetto-fied.

Yipes! I hadn't thought about that. I didn't run into problems until I turned my combaty char on TC into the TC correspondent. I couldn't even change my lekku pattern.
