Thread: What is the strangest ID request you've ever encountered?

When I look back on a couple of ID experiences, I can't help laughing.

1) A friend of mine insisted that he watned to look like Han Solo. He paid me an obscene amount of money, and I did a fair amount of internet research to get it right.

The next day, he wanted to be changed back. And paid me an obscene amount again.

2) When the new colors came out, a friend of mine wanted to be turned into a leprechaun! I made his hair green, and gave him green mutton chops (which were hard to match, as you know). I made him very short, with green tinted skin.

I then took a blackmail screenie of him saying "stay away from me pot o gold!"

I had a zabrak come in and buy ID sessions for two of his friends (a human and a twil) who he wanted to look dead/goth - all in matching colors. After changing them the best I could they all sat around and complimented eachother for a while, donned black trench coats, and ran off to dathomir. It was very sweet... in a twisted scary kind of way.

Imagine the perfect 'italien chef' entering the Salon... complete with a great outfit and all... and he asked me to make him a green mohawk

I kind of suspected that someone hijacked the account, so I noted down the name and mailed him a few days later if he was serious about that mohawk... and he replied that he is very pleased with his new cyberpunk-look he is sporting now

Not really the strangest request, but a wookie came into the tent and wanted to be purple, as fat as possible and as tall as possible with a "shmushed head" (his words not mine). So I IDed him and off he ran.

A couple seconds later another wookie comes in. He says "hey i just saw a purple wookie, can you make me purple?" So I made him purple and he ran off.

No kidding, a few seconds later a 3rd wookie came in and said "I was just talking to the two purple guys you IDed at the starport, can you make me purple as well?" So I make this 3rd guy purple too.

Musta been a purple wookie kinda day.

Must be related to Wookie Life Day or something. Who can tell with wookiees? I still think there's a whole layerof meaning in those growls that they don't tell us about in Speaking Wookiee 101.

Had a character come in named (no joke) Homeless Man. He wanted me to make him "gross looking as possible." I abliged. Fat, zero tone, no chin, sunken eyes and cheeks. A real piece of art only a mother could love...or not.

Just before I mastered I wore the 'Tattoo Artist' title which caused no end of problems! One customer asked fora tattoo of his name across is shoulders which I explained wasn't possible. This led too 'Well its says you are a tattoo artist'. He just didn't get it and drew the conclusion that I had found an exploit to wear and ID tag even though I wasn't one! Quick /addignore and I moved on!

I had a really nice girl who at that time was short, slim, long blonde hair, (you get the idea) come into the tent wanting to be as tall, fat, and ugly as she could get. I guess she and her ingame hubby was fighting. So I made her what she wanted, I maxed out everything from nose to toes. I got a very high tip from her, the most I have ever gotten from one person (like she was giving his money away also). I told her to drop me a /tell or mail if she ever wants to go back to her original look, and to this day she is still tall, fat and very happy with her new look.

Less a strange request, and more a strange result.

I was in the Coronet salon last night when a human male came in with a Twi'lek female and asked me to remake her. For her part, she only wanted a stat migration. So I started the stat migration, and we talked about alternatives while we waited. In the end, I recolored her and matched her eyes to her outfit. Not extreme as far as a makeover goes.

Apparently the man liked the look, and was very obvious in his enthusiasm. I took the liberty of, at one point, suggesting that in a city the size of Coronet, I was sure there was a hotel where they could rent a room.

He pointed out that cantina couches were free.

my oddest one was a few weeks back, but he came in as this short pasty human and asked that i make him look like "Dolemite". I had to do a little research to find this guy on the internet, but he's on the same sort of level as Shaft.

Talk about a 180 in appearance

he was happy about the changes and i have never seen him come back since then but he always sticks out in my mind.

I once had a customer come in wanting to be short, baldand fat - his guild was having an 'ugly contest' and he really wanted to win. I did what he asked, and he thanked me and left.

About 20 minutes later, he came running back in and announced 'I won!' and promptly asked me to change him back.

I jokingly asked for my share of the prize money...turns out they just did it for fun. Too bad...

But thank god for customers like that, things would be pretty boring without them!
