is there anyway to accurately image design yourself? I tried tinkering around with it last night but couldnt get it to work so i figured Id ask here. every time I targeted myself and typed /image it would always tell me that I was considering an image design offer... anyway, is it possible to do it to yourself? perhaps with another command string? or am I SOL? thanks much for your time

Oh oh sounds like you may have bugged yourself. Sometimes if there is a lag spike or some other type of delay, or a partial macro with pauses set too close together, the game will think you are still being offered an image design indefinitely. There is a time out feature the devs put in to help with this, but the offer doesn't always time out and it could take hours of being logged off to fix it. A server reset always does. I would try again today (after the server reset) and if you are still having problems please come see us again and we'll try to help

well, first off, its she... second off, i have no need to use the macro hun, i'm already a master. i'm just tryin to change my own look but I am relatively new to the profession, was wondering if the self command was somethin different like /imageself or somethin like that. I worked on a bunch of people last night including a brand new jedi who said he was a little hasty at character creation but all the night couldnt ever get myself done. i guess i'll just wait for the reset. maybe i'll try it now... got a few minnicks at work

Geez, what is with the trolls here these days??

It does indeed sound like you bugged yourself. That's a bug that's been driving us nuts since the early days. I broke two people in one night with it. LOL

No offense to the original poster, but this is exactly what's wrong with the profession, that you can be a master and still be "new" at it. I'm not suggesting that we dramatically increase the xp needed, but maybe we should consider an xp system that does not reward using the same changes over and over again (not to imply that the poster did that either).

oh no!! do not start with the "need to give more xp for doing different things"speal. ive read complaints about this from crafters too. they think that making a whole gun should give more xp than making one part over and over. then a bunch of WS and AS agree. then the ol' architecht comes around yelling at everyone because it takes some 60 odd parts of the same part to make one part of 60 needed to make a house (or whatever it is)and how they should not be nerfed for needing to make the same thing over and over. then some people say "oh"and it fades away....

so in short-complain about macros complain about how easy it is to be an image designer or macro your way through any prof, but leave the grinding issue alone. if someone grinds the same thing from novice to master thats their choice. i do not think they should be rewarded or punished for whatever they choose to grind.

well, I didnt come here for that debate however I did figure out how the bug works now and since it fixed itself I got my new look . thanks for the help guys. i'm actually going to be sorry when i have to leave ID in a little bit cause its really really fun. its amazing how and where you can find enjoyment in a game this involved sometimes. anyway, thanks for the help
