Many other professions coorispondants have actually went ingame to talk to the players. Alot of ppl wont post or dont want to post here, but that doesnt mean thier voice shouldnt be heard.

I think only a few corrs have done that, to my knowledge. It's difficult, though, to talk to everyone, even with those in-game meetups!

no matter how you look at it.. you will reach more ppl ingame that are interested, then what this board does. I've been to the musician and dancer ingame chat on 2 servers and it went extremely well.

imho anyone who solely relys on the boards to hear the ppl's voice is blind to the real ppl who practice the profession.

I'm going to try not to take that personally because *I* didn't hold an in-game conference during my term as corr and I didn't get any complaints.

Corrs are members of server communities. Just by playing, we talk to players every day. Is that now inadequate? I personally think that feedback from just chatting casually with community members is just as valuable as feedback gained by one of these large events. It's a different sort of feedback - better for some purposes, worse for others.

You get a small segment of the opinions by reading the boards, another small segment by holding events, and yet another different group by just chatting with the locals on your server. While I agree that going beyond these boards is a good idea, I question the notion that a cross-server in-game event must occur to get feedback outside the boards.

no offense intended by any means. But like you yourself admitted you get alot of your info from communicating from the players.. well the majority of players who play dont post on these boards, i myself have only started recently but have played the game since beta.

So by playing on your own server and focusing on these boards for your info isnt enough imo.

I didnt say like plan some big huge event i simply asked if any kind of chat was planned because i felt its one of the most productive things i've seen done on a volunteer basis in swg. lol i need some coffee

I don't think an in-game Conference would be very helpfull. First we have 12 different timezones which makes it very difficult if not impossible to find a fair time and date for it. Then I don't see how I could hear out everyone in game in a better way then I can here on the boards. It would take hours after hours after hours...

Beside that, everyone who reads these boards and wants to be heard can post here, too. And those who don't read this board won't hear about an in-game-conference as well.

Don't get me wrong: I want to hear all your ideas and concerns so I can represent you infront of the devs as good as I can.

If you cannot or don't want to post them here you can either PM me here on the boards or send me and in-game mail to one of my TestCenter characters. You can do so from every server, too.

For example "TestCenter.Cadlina" would send a mail or tell to Cadlina on Testcenter. This even works for EQ2-servers and chars as well.

Edit: corrected a Typo
