The last thread got so buried, here is a fresh version of the Image Designer section I sent Jake Rodgers (Ood_Bnar), the swg art director in September. He asked me to compile and send him asummary of a 14 page thread I started called Art Team: What Women Want.I gave suggestions for when different things might be given, noone tar and feather me Note these are not my personal wish list items, though many of them are, but my summary of all of the collective wishing.

IMAGE DESIGNER

·User Interface – Issues: Difficult to find good lighting to view customer; Person’s head wiggles all over while you try to customize face; Hard to keep track of what a customer has seen in the past using slider bars; difficult to find graphical entities such as tattoo patterns and eyebrows. Proposed solutions: Give ID’s the character creation GUI in a window. Shade out boxes the ID’er does not yet have. Assigna visible numbers to each tick of sliders that represent measurements, such as nose length, weight, and eye shape. Add more little pictures like those provided for hairstyles…for tattoo patterns, eyebrow shapes, etc. Add a box to the character window (ctrl-j) that has current settings written down (nose length #15 of 30, hairstyle #22 of 40, etc).

·Body Tattoos – Proposed locations: Ankles, wrists, hands, calf, lower back, upper back, upper arm, lower arm, tummy, chest. Types: Swirls & spikes, nature objects (corellian butterfly, flower, etc), rebel/imperial insignia. When granted: Add to Markings skill tree in ID, Markings I = ankle, Markings IV = upper arms

·More Hair Colors – Most frequent request by customers; Pure white, pure black, more natural colors (reds, browns, blondes), unnatural clors (pink, red, blue, purple, green, etc): available to master ID’s and requiring crafted dyes with rare components, temporary duration if possible. [These have been approved by LucasFilm, noword yet onwhether they will/have been implemented internally]

·Full head of hair for Zabrak Females – ID-only styles are not being requested due to the receding hairline look, zabrak females would like a full head of hair with horns poking out, maybe some of the human hairstyles as well; Zabrak female with pigtails screenshot on swg site

·Muscles/height slightly beyond char creation – Frequent request by customers; Would flesh out the Body skill tree in ID; Provided it does not cause graphical issues with clothing.

·Scars - (Exotic IV) Facial scars; Blue dead-eye look

·Extended makeup palette – More shades of red, pink, peach

·More hairstyles – Females - Princess Leia and Queen Amidala styles from the movies; 38th female human style w/out the hair in the face; Lower back length hair; More long and shoulder-length hairstyles in general; Long mid-back ponytail; More with accessories (beads, barettes, ribbons); More braided styles; Short & curly; Slicked back; Bob; More messy hair; Long hair with spiral curls. Males – Anime’ish spiky hairstyles; Long dreadlocks; More long/medium hairstyles; Spiky and messy styles.

·Wookiee hairstyles - Wookiees ask for their fur to be braided and dreadlocks, they say there are art team sketches of these somewhere; Wookiee females in particular would like hair in order to be recognizable as females – braids, pigtails, etc. Ok. So I am a wookiee on Ahazi. No one can ever tell I'm a female and I am getting sick of everyone calling me "dude" "bro" "brah" "man" etc. I'm a RL female too and I didn't want to do the whole human thing... I wanted to be different and wookiees are cute just like ewoks. People only know I'm female (90% of the time) when I sit down. Is there anyway this wookiee woman can get a boob enhancement? I've searched all over the Ahazi server when I'm on for an ID to ask. Can't find one. Any help would be great!! ~Nikkostar on Ahazi (posted on Image Designer forum) ·Bust for Mon Cals, Trandos, Wookiee females – While they could never increase the size of their torso, before the first big patch Mon Cal’s had a little bust, now they are flat chested like Trandos and Wookiees. These species really struggle with people assuming they are males. The poor courageous females that choose these species could use a little padding.

·Ability to ID NPC vendors – Maybe if the Merchant has Hiring III? People create and destroy dozens of vendors trying to get a certain look (database issue). I destroyed about 30 vendors last night and finally settled on a purple Twi’lek with yellow markings, red eyebrows, orange eyes, and pink lipstick. [Note: merchants have been asking for this to be granted to us as well]

·Ability to ID pets – Fur/skin dyeing is often suggested

·More lekku styles – Tightly twisted together to the back; Sticking up to the sides like pigtails; Pulled up to lay on the head; Meeting in the front/back with tips overlaying

·Sex/Race change – (Master ID) This comes up a lot (maybe only once per char lifetime?) People change their minds but don’t want to recreate [Note: LucasFilms said no no to this]

·Craftable, tradeable lipsticks & eyeshadows – (Novice ID) To sell on bazaar/vendors. This idea has come up often and would be SO fun!

·More of existing char creation options – Particularly markings patterns

·Wookiee/Bothan Branding – Tattoos for fur; Chest and arms?

·Highlights in hair – Streaks or shading of color over the main color

·Piercing – Top ID wish list item, we would like to have a pierce ability (maybe ID IV) to compliment new tailoring jewelry schematics (players must get ears or bellybutton pierced before jewelry can be equipped)

·Nail polish – (Novice Entertainer) – fingernails and toenails

·Blush, Eye liner – (Novice Entertainer) Subtle shading of color please if implemented

·Bindis – (Exotic IV); This website has many photos and examples in an easy to see format: www.diamondbindi.com (see cat eye, belly, bellybutton, arm); Maybe make bindis craftable; This website has photos of celebrities with bindis on their foreheads, as well as many henna tattoos: http://www.naturalexpressions.org/mehndipic.html

·Eyelashes

·Ability to dye hair accessories – barettes, beads, and ponytail holders

·More options for eyebrows (natural looking)

·Slider for hips and buttocks – For the more curvaceous lady; Body I?

·Body freckles – Chest, shoulders

·Ability to make lekku skinnier (ID IV?)

·More Trando ridges – More dramatic spikes, extending down the spine

Haven't had time to really read through the list as I'm a little rushed, so if this has been said just ignore me.

How about some more elaborate makeup for females? More elablorate eyeshadow designs for example? Look at the Tattoos...we can change colour and the design. I'd like to be able to offer more than just a colour change for eyeshadow.

This is an amazing list, Kwee. I'm just curious as to what the likelyhood of us getting these options would be? We're certainly one of the most ignored classes and we deserve new/more options, I'm just curious about what we've heard from the devs (I know we're in a ID Correspondent crisis right now) but have they mentioned anything at all in the past? I remember reading something about them getting motion captured for us to look like we're moving our arms or something when we work on a customer... have we heard anything else? Just curious

The only thing I've heard from Ood_Bnar (that he didn't post himself) was about the unnatural hair colors. I'm working on an interview for him this week. One of the questions will be about what types of future ID content we can expect to see Hopefully my interview will be ok'd by their PR, and he'll have time to answer

How about the abilitiy to make hands and feet smaller? I don't know if you noticed but hands are huge, most females don't have hands as large as they are in game, or feet that size. I look like that puppet from the Puppetmaster movies with a big head and huge arms disproportionate to this body. I don't like that.

You know what I'd love to see too? Along with the additional hairstyles? I'd love tosee more hair accessories. We have just afew styles that incorporate any sort of adornments in the hair at all.

I know that tailors have the adornments for lekku covered. But I wishfor additionaladornments that could be added to hair, provided byImage Designers. The very best world, in my mind, would be if we could add things like flowers, tiaras, hair combs, headbands, barettes, garlands and beads to existing styles. You know?To have it as a separate thing altogether from the hairstyles themselves.Something like this would turn each of the existing styles into something that had a number of different options oncetheability to accessorize wasadded. We'd get a lot more mileage out of each and every hairstyle.

But you get afraid to think bighere when it comes to additional game content. Sooomy guess is that the above would takemore time to retrofit withthe existingartworkthan the powers that be would be willing to spend. No matter how cool it wouldreally be in teh long run.So Iguess second best would be if we just got somenew hairstyles that included more of these types of adornments.

Thanks for posting this again, Kwee!

Hair adornments were sent in in the New Schematics for Tailor wish list section. They come up now and then on the Tailor forum as a complementary to ID. I agree, it's probably something that would be difficult to make work, what with hairstyles all being so different. If they were to be craftables AND if such a thing were ever implemented they would prob go to Tailors, though I am still hoping we get some type of fun craftable to put on the bazaar Mostly for advertising purposes, but also just because it would be so fun!

While I really like that people are always coming up with new ideas for our profession, I think it's kind of sad that the wish list only ever gets bigger. I'd like to see a couple of things finally cease to be wishes. Here's hoping.
