Thread: FAQ and Tips for Image Designers
This thread lists all the /imagedesignSetValue commands and may be useful in compiling for the FAQ:

Also (this is really rough, I'm in a rush, just got the dsl fixed after 4 hours on the phone and need to get online before my harvesters explode):
Question: I used /im; /imagedesignSetValue on myself and it's totally broken!
Answer: Target yourself using control-1. You can image design yourself without targeting yourself with the interface, but to use the code you must be targeted on yourself.
Question: my partner has an outstanding image design: how do I fix
Answer:
- target self using control-1
- type /im
- target partner
- type /imagedesignSetValue blah blah
- partner accepts
If YOU have the outstanding offer
- target partner
- type /im
- target self using control-1
- type /imagedesignSetValue blah blah
- you accept
Note this doesn't end the bug, it just passes the bug. The only known fix is a server reset.
Question: How do i see what i'm doing? It's sooo dark
Answer: target client and type /ex for examine window. To examine self, control-1 to target self, followed by /ex.
Question: I can't image design myself or my friend. What's up?
Answer: races that do not have "hairstyles" have no image design options at novice entertainer. So if you're trying to image design a wookiee or a mon cal, you're out of luck.
Question: I incapped myself on the muon gold downer.
Answer: haa haa. I mean... that's terrible.
- Breath of Heaven (drink) will drasticly reduce the mind required to perform ID changes by increasing your Focus by roughly 500 points.
- A double-dose of Veghash (food) is also good for IDing, as it increases the rate at which you recover mind by upping your Willpower by 300 or more points.
- Corellian Fried Ice Cream. Never used it myself, but I noticed some on the bazaar today and it gives a pretty nice boost to Focus. With a Master Musician buff and Breath of Heaven it might be able to replace Muon Gold and aleviate the down time. At worst it'd require two macros—one for when both the BoH and Ice Cream are in effect and negating mind costs, one for while you're digesting. Since I'm already a master I can't really try it, but you might be able to beat out the Muon for XP-over-time since you won't have any true down time due to withdrawl.
As discussed previously, I'm going to be working towards compiling our various FAQ for Image Designers, as well as a Tips section which will include workarounds/fixes for bugs, how to get a good view, etc
I'll start us out with MUSoprano'sFAQ (minus the oneabout the now mostly fixed hair exploit). Please add to the list and I'll compileall the good stuff together in a few weeks.
Contributed by MUSoprano:
Question: What is the fastest way to grind image design xp?
Answer: There are macros available that you can use that can get you through image design fairly quickly, but we ask that you please take some time to learn about how the profession works before you use one. An ID macro might look something like this:
/image *target*;/imagedesignSetValue freckles 0
That is just a basic, non-looping macro using the freckles modifier as an example. You can use anything you like in that command as long you have the right text for it. (Kwee note: a hair/markings/face/body window will stay open while you macro, just a weird bug)
Question: What tree should I grind through first?
Answer: This depends on a couple of things:Whether you want more experience very quickly, or whether you want to cater to potential customers' needs. I'm sure all image designers ground through the skill using a different modification. For example, I ground through using freckles, which comes with basic image design 4. If you are going for more xp per change, try the body tree first, they give you much more xp than, say, hair color. But if you want to choose something that your customers will ask for a lot, go with the hairstyles tree first, and then markings second, because those two trees can completely change a customer's look without changing any of their features.
Question: Is there a macro to auto-accept an offered change?
Answer: NO, there is simply no way to do this. Anyone you use as a "guinea pig" will have to click accept a whole lot.
Question: I've heard of people grinding through the entire profession in three hours. How can I do that?
Answer: While grinding through image design does not take an overly long time, doing it THIS fast is probably connected with a known exploit that involves offering a certain change that takes no mind pool. We will not explain how to use it and we do not recommend trying to find out for yourself, because you can be banned for this.
Question: I keep getting customers asking for non-race changes, like twi'leks asking for hair and trandoshans asking for rodian frills. Can I do this?
Answer: Again, this is connected to another exploit, and we highly recommend you NOT use them, especially since there is no definite way to change the person back. (Kwee note: the permanent implementation of this exploit is no longer possible).
Question: Is there any sort of mind-altering substance I can take to help me not run out of mind pool?
Answer: There are various food, drink and spices you can take to up your mind pool. My personal favorite is muon gold - it adds 500 to all three mind stats for 10 minutes, following by a 3 minute downtime. During that ten minutes, you can get a GOOD chunk of experience. Another thing you may want to try is using an entertainer for mind buffing. Ask a musician and a dancer both to buff you, just set yourself to /watch and /listen. Musicians buff your secondary mind stats, and dancers buff your mind pool. Masters of these professions can double those pools, it can last up to 2 hours and there's no negative effects. And you can combine them with food or spice.

Another food:
I used Breath of Heavens and Muons for when I was working towards master, but I had a look for something that increased willpower and found this. It's called .... something really long and weird, Vercupti of Agazza Boleruee I think, it's a master level chef food, and it gives a fairly good boost to willpower, so you can regenerate faster.
Question: Is there a macro to auto-accept an offered change?
Answer: NO, there is simply no way to do this. Anyone you use as a "guinea pig" will have to click accept a whole lot.
I think that people actually look for the command line /imagedesignConsent in faq's so it may be helpful to just add this line (perhaps emphasized) to this entry, for people to spot. This may cut down on questions about it on the boards.
Example:
Question: Is there a macro to auto-accept an offered change, such as /imagedesignConsent?
Answer: NO, there is simply no way to do this. /imagedesignConsent is a non-functional command. Anyone you use as a "guinea pig" will have to click accept a whole lot.
Doh, we need to add the bald workaround
Q: how do I make someone bald?
A:
- offer client hairdo (any)
- client clicks "x" box in top right corner
- offer client hairdo (any)
- client accepts
- instruct client to destroy "wig" that will appear in client inventory
Q: I don't want to be bald, but I have a wig in inventory!
A: Don't delete it. It shoudl disappear upon relog or server reset.
