Thread: About this Publish...!
some of the things we can do with colours are amazing now, the skin tones for humans are good - and allow us to be unique, and as for mon calamari - WOW! so bright
Green Wookiee? you got em!
Red Rodian - no problem!
The timers are a minor issue, it gives us time to work through changes and get to know our clients.
and who wouldv'e guessed, the holo-emotes are actually really nice, brainstorm is my favorite
Thanks devs!

No the 10 min is stupid, I much rather wait for my migration to take place over 3 days and I can do whatever I want in that time. Now both my time and that of the ID is wasted. How on earth can that be a good thing. nobody wants to sit on their butt doing nothing. Just take a look at the shuttle timesand what has happened. Any time waiting in a game you play to have fun is NOT a good thing. A timer that does not limit you in playing IS a good thing. Another nice idea bad implementation.
Personally,
I like the changes. Runesbane was gracious in answering Kwee's questions and although some answers were vague, its better than nothing. This is something Sony NEVER did with EQ!!
I got the chance to diddle with my friends Master ID character and I love it !! ( she and I often fiddle around with each others characters to see how the other side lives )
My view on the stat migration timer? Well, I think its positive. Yes 10 minutes is some what of a wait, but I look at it this way ... I sit on my butt for 10 minutes at a time waiting for the Starport (always miss the stinking shuttle
) and usually alone. But I do it anyway bacause I need to get from point A to point B. I dont mind sitting 10 minutes talking to the Image Designer. They play with my lekku style or color, adjust my make-up, show me what I look like as a bright green twi'lek or whatever. The time seems go fly by and I enjoy chatting with a new friend. I also feel its give the ID'er a bit of worth. Before you just needed to see them for a new "do". You know, I really like the change. I can see where the DEVs are going with that idea .. its positive, I like it. /cheer
Over all, I think the Image Designer of the Galaxy were given a VERY nice revamp, so to speak. It may not be everything just the way you wanted ... but definately a step in the right direction. One thing about SWG ... it will always be in a constant state of evolution! Some changes will be welcomed, some wont ... but one thing is certain ... there will ALWAYS be changes and modifications.
Good job Runesbane! Thank you for your dedication and hard work and especially for taking the time to answer our questions. And even more so .... KUDOS to you Kwee! What a great Cor Rep!
I have my "particle effects" slider in my options screen set all the way down to the minimum in order to have a playable game when in the rain or near smoke or fog ( the lag becomes horrible and the game too slow to play otherwise). Now I can see other peoples holo emotes just fine, but cannot see my own unless I reset the particle effects slider back up.. really wierd and annoying.. the holo in question is the evil pink kitten one (
but... shouldn't there be a "low detail" version of them for those of us who have to run with less than maxed out settings?
You play a game where people commonly have names like Break Windu. Holoemotes don't even register on the radar as immersion breakers compared to a hundered other things. Get over it already, they're here to stay. Funny you want to take them off of others yet admit you WANT THEM ON YOU. =)
Oh and did I mention, not only do I LOVE getting exclusive access to stat changing...I LOVE THE HOLOEMOTES. Far more "Star Warsy" than ever seeing a single Jedi running around...ever. In the SW universe, there ARE & SHOULD BE recreationally used amusement holos. There are NOT Jedi, a Jedi COUNCIL (god help us) or people named "StewieFromFamilyGuy".
