I have to say....after all the raving & "woe is me" about it....

I love it.

Plain & simple. By FAR the best thing to come along for I.D. EV-AR. It was like Christmas morning. Sure new hairstyles etc. would have been nice, yes not being able to do our own statsis a ridiculous bit of bull based on horrible logic & is patently unfair, & yes the timers area a useless pain that only hurts newbie ID'ers & annoys every player. Yes, having no player ID Tents screws us & is super insulting.

But all in all, I love it, it has breathed new life into a near-dead joke of a profession. Anyone who says otherwise is kidding themselves. I saw more IDers, having more fun, today in an hour than in my last 7 mohths combined. I have been Master since July nonstop & am a "lifer". So coming from as hardcore an IDer as exists....BRAVO!

This is my sole living & it is only now worthwhile. LOVE the stat migration being ID-only. LOVE the new colors. LOVE the new interface. LOVE keeping grinders away & making it as meaningful for new IDers as it was back when I got it. I dock a few points for the things mentioned above...but the running total score is still waaaay up there.

Most fun I have had w/ this character in a long long long time. And I even spent all day in an ID Tent.

OK proceed to censor & flame.

Amen

some of the things we can do with colours are amazing now, the skin tones for humans are good - and allow us to be unique, and as for mon calamari - WOW! so bright

Green Wookiee? you got em!

Red Rodian - no problem!

The timers are a minor issue, it gives us time to work through changes and get to know our clients.

and who wouldv'e guessed, the holo-emotes are actually really nice, brainstorm is my favorite

Thanks devs!

Stars do not matter, if you do not like the star rating system simply set it to show all post 1 star and up. By default you need 10 INDIVIDUAL people to one star your post before it hides it for anyone with the filter setting. Do not make post complaining abut a phantom one star bandit, this reply, if anything does warrant it.

Good points: The vast number of new colors and the "much more easier to see changes being done" interface without customer moving all over and being too far away to really see what's going on during changes, as well as the secure payment included.

Bad points: The absurdly ridiculous timers.......can no longeruse macros to change to predetermined look......the absurdly ridiculous timers.....the loss of the numbers that could be recorded to return stats at later time......and did I mention the absurdly ridiculous timers (or any timer for that matter). (my disagreement with the timers does not extend to the stat migration, only with the character visual modifications as stat migration in 10 minutes definately beats it happening over hours)

IMHO

Edited-To strike out what I said about the stat migration timer as I didnt realize ID has to sit there for that time. Just F'ing ridiculous!

No the 10 min is stupid, I much rather wait for my migration to take place over 3 days and I can do whatever I want in that time. Now both my time and that of the ID is wasted. How on earth can that be a good thing. nobody wants to sit on their butt doing nothing. Just take a look at the shuttle timesand what has happened. Any time waiting in a game you play to have fun is NOT a good thing. A timer that does not limit you in playing IS a good thing. Another nice idea bad implementation.

Personally,

I like the changes. Runesbane was gracious in answering Kwee's questions and although some answers were vague, its better than nothing. This is something Sony NEVER did with EQ!! I got the chance to diddle with my friends Master ID character and I love it !! ( she and I often fiddle around with each others characters to see how the other side lives )

My view on the stat migration timer? Well, I think its positive. Yes 10 minutes is some what of a wait, but I look at it this way ... I sit on my butt for 10 minutes at a time waiting for the Starport (always miss the stinking shuttle ) and usually alone. But I do it anyway bacause I need to get from point A to point B. I dont mind sitting 10 minutes talking to the Image Designer. They play with my lekku style or color, adjust my make-up, show me what I look like as a bright green twi'lek or whatever. The time seems go fly by and I enjoy chatting with a new friend. I also feel its give the ID'er a bit of worth. Before you just needed to see them for a new "do". You know, I really like the change. I can see where the DEVs are going with that idea .. its positive, I like it. /cheer

Over all, I think the Image Designer of the Galaxy were given a VERY nice revamp, so to speak. It may not be everything just the way you wanted ... but definately a step in the right direction. One thing about SWG ... it will always be in a constant state of evolution! Some changes will be welcomed, some wont ... but one thing is certain ... there will ALWAYS be changes and modifications.

Good job Runesbane! Thank you for your dedication and hard work and especially for taking the time to answer our questions. And even more so .... KUDOS to you Kwee! What a great Cor Rep!

yes but the shuttle company isn't overcharging me 50k per ride just because they don't want to really do it. So because both the player and id get screwed, its the player who gets hit twice.

I really love the options they gave us. The timing is a bit annoying, yes, but since we can do several things at once, by the time I'm finished I can commit anyways. I'm still on the fence with the stat migration, but really, like the devs intended, IDs are taking on a lot more responsibility and purpose than they used to.

Well, I finally got around to seeing an ID and the smile I had has gone . Nice to see eye shape now working, but I do have to say I feel let down with the new hair colour palette. I just wanted a darker shade of brown

But hey, at least the UI from the customer side is good

On a lark when getting some other work done yesterday I got a holo emote..

I have my "particle effects" slider in my options screen set all the way down to the minimum in order to have a playable game when in the rain or near smoke or fog ( the lag becomes horrible and the game too slow to play otherwise). Now I can see other peoples holo emotes just fine, but cannot see my own unless I reset the particle effects slider back up.. really wierd and annoying.. the holo in question is the evil pink kitten one ( ) so I am hoping that its just some of the emotes dont show at lower settings..

but... shouldn't there be a "low detail" version of them for those of us who have to run with less than maxed out settings?

You play a game where people commonly have names like Break Windu. Holoemotes don't even register on the radar as immersion breakers compared to a hundered other things. Get over it already, they're here to stay. Funny you want to take them off of others yet admit you WANT THEM ON YOU. =)

Oh and did I mention, not only do I LOVE getting exclusive access to stat changing...I LOVE THE HOLOEMOTES. Far more "Star Warsy" than ever seeing a single Jedi running around...ever. In the SW universe, there ARE & SHOULD BE recreationally used amusement holos. There are NOT Jedi, a Jedi COUNCIL (god help us) or people named "StewieFromFamilyGuy".

Again, I say what so many others know & agree with but are cowering from whiney raving combat-clone kiddies & are scared to admit. Loud & proud: thanks for the holoemotes, Devs! Fun fun fun.

And you don't have to get pink kitties if you don't want. Seeing them on an entertainer is not altering anyone's perceptions of anyone else one bit. Instead of being called "useless chick professions that can't KILL!!!"we will now be "useless chick professions that can't KILL!!! and have pink kitties at parties." Move along.
