Sadly you will see that most people want to look LESS alien whenever possible. To the point that their main wish is not Star Warsy, alien, new, cool, imaginitive stuff...it's to have clones of actual modern Western Earth fads. People do not want to look alien. They want to look as much like attractive humans they want to be IRL, as possible. Sad. Unpopular to point out. TRUE. A generalization, but everyone knows that for every "give me different horns"...you get 10 "can I just look like a regular human pretty girl instead of an alien Zabrak?"
Ironically, Darth Maul was not red. Zabraks don't come in red. He was tattoooed red with black...his whole body was one big tattoo. Not only are Zabs famous for using tattoos (it's not something humans do in SW)....he was crazily extreme about it.
Which is why they should enhance the ALIEN, unusual features of the races, not give them all the same bland stuff. Zabs with all sorts of full body tattoos, wookiees with strange braided fur decor, bones woven in, etc., humans with wierder hairstyles like the people in cantinas in the movies. OTOH, if humans got the styles fro mthe movies, NO ONE WOULD GET THEM.
My theory is that the Devs were ABOUT to do new styles for hair. Then they saw the Astromech stats which no doubt show that 99% of humans get ID'd to have the same 5% of existign styles anyway.
