I've never had anything like this happen to me personally, but I've overheard conversations from other ID's that suggested something similar going on. For example, a fellow was being worked on by another ID recently, and when they finished the session, the ID said "It doesn't look green to me. Does it look green to you?" I looked at the guy and it looked green to me, but apparently the ID saw something else entirely.

Stupid question - you're using your personal light to try and get decent lighting to see skin tone? Boy do I ever not look like my color palette when I don't.

Ok.. over the last two weeks I have noticed that when I go to ID someone, their skincolor is completely different in my id window. For example , a female human who had light skin looked almost tan in my window. A few clients have even mentioned that it seems to be different in thier window too. Another example is a male bothan. We were trying to get his fur to a yellow..we were both having a hard time picking the right color. When I would complete the session, he would be yellow but with very visible hints of green , almost like veins. Now, I was beginning to think that it may be on my end (video card) but it only happens in the ID window. My other colors for the game are fine, nothing has changed. Is anyone else having this sort of trouble? All other colors, such as hair and eye color etc, seem to be just fine. Thanks for any input.

It sounds like a lighting issue to me. It could also be a gamma issue. If you ahve it set too high, your colors will wash out and become less distinct.
