To answer your question, nope. Patch 8.1 got rid of eye changing (and everything else changing for that matter) macros.

Sorry, gotta do it the new fangled way with the rest of us.

I just finished the new new fangled way you mention: I'm a Master Image Designer once more. Now I have mastered it before the minipublish and afterwards, and I must say, that this time, now that it actually took me a couple of weeks in stead of a couple of hours, I really feel like I've accomplished something. I'm seeing the attraction in this system now, it's more work, but in the end, it's also more gratifying.

NOT!

I'm never ever ever doing that long, stupid, boring grind again!

Congrats Thewt…and being in the same boat—having mastered both pre-chef revamp and post-ID enhancement—I totally agree. Never, ever, ever again!

Answer: There WAS. This was it: /imageDesignSetValue eye_color xx

Where xx is the number of the eye color.

You can try it, but it doesn't work anymore. The Devs have disabled it.

Oh no! You had to work to master a profession... seems like that's starting to become a trend. Next thing you know, they'll be giving us sticks and slingshots when we start off as marksman or brawler.

Could you please clean the floor after this post? Your sarcasm drippt all over it

I have to agree, that I'm really like the idea that mastering a Profession is not only a matter of bought resources and equipment, a 'good' macro and a couple of hours. But here it's the sheer bordom that sometimes (ok, very often) strikes, while 'grinding' your way up to master here. I really hope there is a solution to make the grind somehow more fun. On the other side: it wouldn'T be a 'grind' anymore, if it would be fun

To answer your question, too:

To my knowledge there is no macro for eyecolor-changes and actually I don't really care if there would be one. I simply see macros to be misused far too much.

I understand that "grinding" through a profession is boring, but damn. To complain it took more than a couple hours, now that's just sad. Think of when people didn't have the luxury of buffs, armor, and elite weapons. Think of when a CDEF pistol was the best you had. Took forever to get through marksman. And no, this is not an attack on TechnoCan. I'm just very blunt and my words are coarse. Entertainerwas meant to bea social profession, hence the timer and not being able to stat migrate yourself as an ID. So "grinding" ID, in the eyes of those that wanted this change, would require more social interaction which in-turn(or in theory) would make it less of a grind. The "social" part was the intention and lots of things took that away, afk macroing, ID macros. Oh well, I enjoy the game how I can, I recommend you do the same.

Hehe, don't remind me about a CDEF-pistol... My CH/BE had to use it for over 8 months, since her skillpoints ver tied up in politican until recently and now my ID/Artisan/BE got no combatskills either. And I don't complain about it (My guildies did, because I said: you want me to face this Imperial Detachment HQ and those PvP-junkies with this little Pea-shooter and my pets alone? hehe, btw: I did now and then, but PvP isn't simply my thing so I let others play it this way)

I'm really sorry if I sounded like I have no fun in this game, because that's not true... I maybe not like some aspects of the game, but I can live with that and still have fun.

*Cleans up the sarcasm mess of his last post himself*

Sorry

I don't complain about the time it took me to get to MID, but about the fact that it's very boring getting there. Suppose no one grinded, how many people do you see who want their hair colour changed a day? Changed to one of the starting colours that is. One? Two? Think on how long it would take that way. It's just not fun to say "sorry, can't do that yet" all day, there's not a lot of social interaction.

Yeah, mastering a profession should take more than a few hours and a macro, but whereas getting to master Carbineer (to name but another pointless endeavour of mine) is fun, you can shoot up bad guys, and basically do what you're doing as a Carbineer, a low level Chef can still do well selling Blue Milk or something, but what can a novice IDer do but stat migrations? Not a great deal. And stat migrating is not fun.

Not that I know how the profession could work otherwise, but I don't just put up with it just because I can't think of something better. I am not being paid to do so.
