Get a freaking life! Honestly, go do something that doesn't involve one starring things for NO APPARENT REASON. Go read a book, take a jog, ANYTHING. PLEASE.
Seriously, I just came on, and it looks like someone came in and one starred EVERYTHING. What is up with that?

Yes there is always one!
It's really really sad that people actually spend time doing it too.

I have ratings turned off. So those one-star bandits can bite me.

Nah, I'm of the approach that we should comment on these people. Let em know that we know they exist and have faith that someday they will become reformed one star bandits and join the rest of us in being somewhat constructive human beings.
I honestly started this thread so that they could have a good time one starring something that was meant to be one starred.
I guess people just agreed with me and started five starring it.

I've noticed, it's like the one-star bandits don't even think you notice it. I'm one that comments on it as well... I HATE one-star bandits. And as soon as I do, it always seems like they go away.

The five star bandit strikes again! Ha ha!
Hi ho Silver, and away to the Hilton!!!
LOL. Well, I think that pressing the 1 or 5 star selection should force you to reply. 2, 3, and 4 could still be normal.

I'm one occasionally but I don't have much patience for it
It takes ages and I have a fast connection! It's really kind of depressing to think about these people sitting there for what much be at least an hour one starring over and over and over again like that's the most entertaining thing they can think to do in their spare time. They even got every post in my bun in the oven thread o.0 Who does that? It's just...sad.

Maybe they feel like they have to grind one-stars!

On the Infinity forum, where I do most of my chattering, we get one star bandits too, every so often. The latest one, in a very uncharacteristic move, revealed his identity though. This quote is from a thread where someone wonders why his posts were all one starred:
no one likes to read your posts, I 1 stared you
I browsed through a couple of this guy's other posts and they never were very constructive posts. These people are sad, and they go to great lengths to do their childish tricks. Behavioural psychologists have said that feedback, either positive or negative, reinforces the behaviour whereas ignoring will cause the behaviour to go away. So, let it be, they'll find another hobby soon.
