A suggestion, what do you all think:
Profiles set up for characters who may like to have different looks at different times. This way the colors can be just right, etc and a person can simply visit an IDer to change their profile.
There would be say, 10 profiles -- or ID "Themes" for that person they could save. Say a Lady would want long hair one day, short hair the next -- different color, eyes changed and a smaller bust.
Solution? Have an IDer select a saved theme for you so you can easily flip your look. Would take 1 minute to take effect and the settings/values/numbers are always right.
IDers could charge ~2k for a profile change or whatever. There's the ID opetion, the StatMigrate/Holoemote option - add a 3rd option -- Themes/Profiles.

Yeah! that is really a nice idea! I like it!
I had a similar idea about disguises for the GCW once.
Maybe we IDs could sell and apply a complete disguise to fellow faction members. They might work in cooperation with tailors and I thought about em to work like this:
The disguise is actually a set of cosmetics, tools and cloths, that is craftable by us. Maybe some very unsuspicous cloths might be required for em, too... (tailor made) When applied the disguised persons titel and name and guild will be overlayed by simply a nondescribt title like (a noble) (a pilot) (a canadian lumberjack) like those of the npcs. The facial features of the person will be changes (hairstyle too) and the cloths from the kit will be put on. The disguise wouldn't last forever, though, so after a given time the changes will revert to normal. Of course the disguised person should be able to get rid of it by himself, too.
The only problem I see there would be harrassments.
The problems about harrassments in disgues could be avoided when the /report-command would still use the real name/id of the disguised person. Noone can disguise from the devs of course.
I'm not sure if this would work out, but it's an idea, too...
But I still like your idea about those ID-profiles
May the Force be with you all!

Unforunately, it does seem like that would result in future terminalization of the ID profession [at least that's the impression I got after I suggested similar before].
And perhaps more unforunately, it'd lead to more people looking alike [and in an unerringly disturbing way at that].

Maybe only let IDers set these profiles on themselves as a perk of being an image designer

Not necessarily so. If timers were implemented, say 20min or so. I doubt people would renew and renew just to keep up the masquerade indefinitely. No more so that people constantly use food supplements. People use them when they need them.
As far as terminalization, instead of it being a craftable skill, it could be more like the holo-emotes. On the ID interface, to be added to character to be used when a certain command is typed like "/disguise stormtrooper or noble or pilot" That applies the disguise and starts a timer for whatever period. Can't be a short timer though. Needs to be useful. 20 min or 30 minutes.

Actually it wouldn't terminate the ID profession -- it would enhance our business instead. To change profiles, you would HAVE to visit an ID for them to perform the change -- otherwise you look how you look and that's that. LOL
