Oh yeah, debit cards will probably work. But seriously, if you go to your bank and fill out an app, you'll get a credit card (with lousy rates, but if you pay it off every month who cares). B of A let me have one when I was a student with pretty much no income, lousy limit, but a card nonetheless.

Actually my bank... oh this is cute - they cancelled my credit card and issued me a platinum without telling me. So my credit card is getting declined left and right because... I have excellent credit. It's fun to be treated like a degenerate because you pay your bills and stuff like you should. When I called about it, the bank informed me "Ma'am you're using the wrong card." Uh... yeah... a card that has 2 months before it expires, that I haven't reported stolen or missing... and I'm supposed to magically figure out this whole platinum dealie.

So needless to say, I got the new card, activated it, and quickly swapped over my SWG before it expired, but that almost was really bad.

It is really sad to hear that you and parents are victim of such net-criminals. I am very very carefull with my credit card over the net myself and hope for the best. But it is a fact that the internet isn't save at all (same with internet banking).

But I have good news for you. Even if you have to make a break playing this game because of this incident, your characters and all will not be lost. They will all await your return same as we

It sucks. Bad. SWG already takes most of my 'fun money', and the whole strapped-for-cash is the main reason I refuse to get debted with the hassle and interest rates of a credit card.

So... I may lose my account for now. /sigh. I don't want to leave, but sometimes fate lands you a kick in the arse. If all else fails, I'll find a way by the time JtL goes publish, and in that case, I'll se you all in the stars..
