Thread: Image Design Kinda Annoying
well i was playin the other day and was getting my hair style done (actually by tygress aka Rilawyn) and i found the system of one hair at a time kinda annoying
i think the system should be set up where u tell the person i want new hair and then a window would pop up and the window would be split down the middle. on the left would be the pictures of ALL the hair styles and on the right would be a pic of wut your person would be like wit that hairstyle and under the pic would be the accpet and refuse buttons
dont yall all think that would be a smarter way of doing it???
My clients appreciate the attention I give them and almost always agree with my recommendations. I spend a good 10-15mins with them and it makes them happy (which makes me happy).
I think you REALLY have to like IDing in order to stick with it. It is annoying sometimes, and the customers can be well, I can't say that stuff on here.
Also, keep in mind that I've found that different faces look good in different things. So if there's one you don't like, just try it; you might be surprised. I think it has to do alot with their faces and colors.
I usually go through 8-10 styles per client. They appreciate it and usually tip more than I ask for which leads me to believe I'm doing something right.
Just my opinion.
I think we definatly need a new interface. I can see both points of view on whether the customer can see all the styles or not. But as long as we could get an interface where you don't have to start over each time I'd be happy. I'd also like to beable to see the customer with the hairstyle before they accepted it.
I find the most interesting about being an ID is how different hairstyles can look so different on different characters. In other words, one style that looks great on you or another character, might not work at all on someone else.
I'm sure this has to do with the shape and colors in their face but I think it's really cool.
I would also agree to group two or three people if you can and invite them to give opinions on the character your working on.
If I have two or three people waiting on me, I'll invite them to the group and listen in and let them comment on each other. It's fun and everyone seems to enjoy it. In fact, I've actually had the customer ask another group member (whom they've never met before) for their opinion.
