'Ello there.

I've been wondering how many (if any) of you have encountered the "You are already in the process of an image design action" message after a crash or disconnection.

This occurs when you are in the middle of using the ID skill and crash. After logging back in you find that you can't use the ID skill because it never seems to time-out the previous action.

Does anyone know of a way to solve this? A simple /logout doesn't fix it. How long do you have to remain logged out before it will actually time out?

Any info and help is greatly appreciated, thankyou.

This happened to me once but worked again (presumably because the server was restarted but I'm not certain).

try /imagedesignCancel this has helped me in the past, but not always

Yes, I have had this happen a few times. Once it lasted a few hours, the next time I logged for the night and I was fine the next morning :-( so sad...

Thanks for the tips. Unfortunately /imagedesigncancel failed to work for me. Only way I solved it was by logging out for a while. The first time it was fixed when I logged out for 30 mins... The next time it didn't fix when I logged out for the same time period. After leaving it overnight it's working again.

Strangely though it seems to be happening a lot all of a sudden, not just after crashes. A couple of times when I've been using the skill while running, and I hit a moment of graphics lag (IE when a city pops up) the windows disappear and I get the same horrible problem and it just won't time out. This has happened to me three times now in the last 24 hours, whereas I can only remember it happening once beforein the last few weeks.

Happened again a few moments ago, so I'll leave it logged out for 30 mins and try again. If not I'll try an hour. And work my way up to find out when it clears. Not fun! =P

Yep, the icky thing is it can also happen when the person you're ID'ing has a lag spike, crashes, etc. I've found around 30 minutes to usually be the magic time (and not requiring a logout), other times I"ve been stuck for an hour or two, or until the server resets. In beta I deleted my first Image Designer over the bug Thought I was permabugged. The time out seems to have helped somewhat. Before there was a time out (in beta) you got stuck much more often. Guess they have to increase the effectiveness of the time out. Definitely a PLEASE FIX item. When it happens, while rare, it's very annoying.
