Thread: *~Crafting component suggestions~*

I have an idea on implementation of a crafting component

how bout this;

at facial 4 we get lipstick and eyeshadow

at body 4 we get growth formula and weightloss formula

for lipstick

it should use a container and a makeup component

(container) 25metal and 5petrochemical and focus on OQ

the quality of the container should dictate the amount of charges it has say 3charges plus 1charge per 100 OQ or so

(makeup)15petrochemical 5liquid petrochemical 5organic and focus on Maleability

the quality of the makeup should give its color pallet lets say 750 ML with amazing successes will get you the full color spectrum

(lipstick)for the finished process it should use 1(container) 1(makeup) and 5metal

the finished product should not use experimentation but should be fully colorable and look like a thing of lipstick when droped in a house

i say eyeshadow should be similar

it should take 1 (container) 1(liquid makeup) and 5metal

(liquid makeup) 15water 5liquid petrochemical 5petrochemical make it based on OQ for color

this too should look like eyeshadow when droped

both of these objects(and all other makeups) should only be usable with a compact which should be equiped and have a "putting on makeup" animation when you use a charge of any makeup and have a 10second delay or soemthing before you can use anyother piece of makeup

this should be permanent

Next growth forumula and wieght loss formula should take specific resources (class 6 liquid petrochemical and talusian water are examples, lets use something thats not used by other classes tho) they should be harder to make and need a chef "bottle" or other container to hold it

also it can have a bioengineered component maybe make it have up to 3 charges and a be component will raise it to max12 make each use be able to give/take 50 hieght/wieght

this makes it so that people need multiple use and also so they need a real image designer if lets say they wanna grow 14units

i hope everyone finds this helpful and please please comment on it

I've read this post several times, and have been reluctant to comment on it because I've had limited time the past 2 days and similar posts have been around a few times already this week.

However, since you bumped it, I garner you want feedback!

Soooo, I think this is the most thought out and planned idea for ID Crafting. I like the idea even though I'm generally against ID's having a crafting side.

I gave you a high rating because of the time, thought, effort, and presentation. You've made this idea appealing to me, which says at least a lil bit. Good job =)

Great presentation I'll bookmark it in case we ever get offered a crafting component to ID. The height/weight idea would have to go through the community though. To date only makeup has gotten a majority "that would be neat". I really like the idea of compacts and an application animation Though I suspect the second would not be forthcoming since they do animations in a motion capture studio.

I feel like a minority in the community when I say a large, blue-colored, exclamatory

NO!

to ID crafting.

First of all, it could seem like a nerf to me. All of a sudden, the skill that only I could use before is now reproduceable by whatever ID has the most enterprising manufacturing ability? Nonono.

IMO, ONLY makeup should ever be considered for crafting. But, like I said, that's just my opinion.

On a less hard-line note, this DOES seem to be the best idea for crafting so far.

Personally, I'd rather see the Developers prioritize implementing more content that keeps my character doing her job in person (hands on) and the client seeking me out for my services.
I'm not necessarily opposed to lipstick/eyeshadow being crafted as "items" but if the crafting of these items becomes too complicated with the resource gathering/quality of components etc., some individuals probably will not have the inclination to create them.
They could end up being much like the Vehicle colorization kits - which don't seem to be very much sought after anymore. :[

I like this idea. It does not need to make a face-to-face visit with an Image Designer obsolete. You could have some items craftable, but others still require an Image Designer. For example: IDs could sell hair dye, so anyone could change their hair color, but if they want to change the hair STYLE, then they need to visit an Image Designer.

Color is the one thing that people are picky about, and it's hard to get it right. I once spent 35 minutes with a client trying to find the EXACT right color of lipstick. She could have picked her own color in 3 minutes without my help.

Sometimes you want to wear a different outfit and change your make-up to match, just for a day or two. It's the perfect excuse for an ID crafted make-up kit.
