hehe, just being silly. But seriously, wasn't the point of all the hard work spent behind actually making our characters have facial expressions and body gestures so that we can read body language without some sort of "Sims" aid?

The holo-emotes are just a part of the ID mini-publish. There are other more substantial changes, like an entirely new interface! The holo-emotes are just something extra that they put in as a treat for us! Don't throw away the entire sundae just because you don't like the cherry on top! (Wow. I just gained 10 pounds thinking of that metaphor). We all want new hairstyles, new facial hair, tatoos ,etc. Hopefully these will come later when they have more time to concentrate on it. For now they were supposed to fix our user interface and give us some new colors to work with, which should make lots of people happy! The holo-emotes are just supposed to be something fun. If people really hate them, then they will hardly get used and I will still be happy with a new interface and new colors.

I think thats exactly it, hairstyles and facial hair/tatoos, etc, take a mountain of work that would not be able to get accomplished in just a couple weeks. The amount of work an artist has to do for one hairstyle alone is a lot. While I'm sure they have some of this planned (not in the loop on that) I can understand why they added these easy to do things, just for fun. I for one will be using them

. Serously though can there be some stuff add in this area in the post SE era. Please say yes, and I know that the first few months of SE will be bu fixes and the like but you don't need artists to fix bugs do you
