Image Designer Archive

I like the notion of the Image Designer, being an architect myself, I can identify with design aesthetics as a value in gameplay. I believe, though, that the ID has less appeal for most gamers since the crafting seems so limited in gameplay value. Right now, my character is an artisan, so I know little about the ins and outs of the ID trade. But after reading the manual, I thought there might be more fun things you could do with this profession to make it a more integral part of the gaming world.

I've been mulling over what I think would be some additional fun things that players would REALLY want, and I wanted to offer this up in the forum for response.

-Image Designers should be able to craft emotes! Players LOVE emotes. I thought that an actor profession would lend itself well to this, but then I realized that perhaps it can be a sub-class of ID. There are enough emotes that don't have animations, that they can become crafted items. Maybe this is better suitedunder entertainer... but I thought it could be really cool. Similarly, custom sound effects would be cool.

-Image Designers should be able to make portraits! What better thing to do after having a makeover, than to save it for posterity! Plus, Image Designers could place the portraits in their studios for players to choose from! Take a picture of the PC's for them to hand out (wallet size) orbig ones tohang in their homes to identify who lives there. Also, there could be a real market for quality images that can be posted in homes... think Ansel Adams.

I may be reaching here, but it's not out of the realm of possibility.

Any other ideas on how to expand the class?

ID's should be able to rename peoples names....

I hate the name I have..didn't think this toon would turn out to be my main...really wish we could have name changes

MAster ID should give name change. you could charge a nice sum for that too. Too bad all the Dyrth Vyder and Dartth Mauul won't want to change their names.

Oneimagey thing I've thought about is having Image Designers be able to give fun titles, like the Iron Chef one for example

ID should be able to Record Music and sell them so we can listen to the music from a Cantina even when were not there.

Just for the Music not for the healing benifits..

I am sometimes cooking away and would like to listen to some starwars 1!
